    It seems odd to me that no-one has mentioned the man responsible for Le Morte D'Arthur. The main source of all the Arthurian legends?

    Mmmmm....I don't know if you could say he was the source of all of them...that's a pretty tall order! He is responsible for making it stronger, I will give him that. There is a very interesting parallel concerning the origin of this legend. Have you ever heard of Finn Mac Cumhal? He was a Celtic knight, who led a band of heroes, known as the Fenians. Their deeds and number were astonishingly similar, and I believe their time came before that of Uther Pendragon.
