VB is terrible beer.
The only beer I could ever drink without regretting the decision (because of the disgusting taste of beer *prepares for shitstorm*) is Foster's. Because it hardly tastes like beer.
Another terrible beer... lol. No Aussie drinks that crap.
That's the only Australian beer I've ever seen here. Good to know. From now on, everytime I see someone drink it (because they think "awesome, it's from the other side of the world!") I'm gonna quote you. "Ugh! NO Aussie drinks that crap!" And then I'll turn away dramatically and leave.
I know aussies which prefer VB, I know aussies, which prefer Carlton, etc. but I've never known aussie who like Fosters
most stores don't even bother to stock it because they know it won't sell.
but they have a good add campaign going here n Europe, claiming that it's "the best Australian beer" oh, btw Alex: I tried Coopers recently, loved it!
accroding to this: http://www.ratebeer.com/BestInMyArea.asp?CountryID=14 VB is not among the best
but according to this: http://australianfood.about.com/od/alcoholic/a/VB.htm it's most popular
When I look for the best beers available in Germany I don't see any brands I know Therefore I wouldn't trust ratebeer.com
true that, I know only Weihenstephaner and Augustiner (which I would rate in top 5 definitely)...
and Lithuanian & Swiss lists are weird as well ...
Good man! Which fine Coopers drop did you try? mm.. thinking about it has made me thirsty *grabs one from the fridge*
ah pale ale. I'm enjoying the red label right now 'Sparkling ale' personally I think red is better, (stronger flavoured and high alcohol content) but green isn't bad then there is yellow label which is stout and the cream of the crop, the cream label 'extra strong vintage ale' yum yum.
you make me drool!
If you can get your hands on a vintage ale. Consider yourself lucky. Coopers only make a very limited amount of them each year and it's hard enough to get a carton (24 beer case) here in the same state of Aus it's made XD
If you liked the greenies or pale ale. Try the reds if you can. Some people do prefer the greens but I'd be interested on your opinion of the reds.
will try to find it here: http://www.beerworld.ch/index.cfm?s=tmpfinder&mod=1
Do try the sparkling ale first. Vintage ale is very different. It doesn't taste like the greens and reds.
edit: The problem with sparkling ale is it keeps you (or me) wanting more! I've had 5 now and I need to work tomorrow so I have to say no now. lol.
I usually cannot say no
sometimes it's hard not to lol.
t's even harder to stop drinking beer :: at least while you're conscious
*takes beer and gives it to the cow*
see... it isn't hard and you're still conscious!
