Another interested party here. I'm a gamer and a writer if you'll have me.
but I'm still finding my way around
just to update people the guild is now a house
ie its gots its own section here:
i'd like to join too! writing is my favorite hobby, and i love writing fantasy.
My quill is sharp and my parchment is waiting!
so can i join?
I'd love to join the Scribe's Guild.
I'm an avid reader and writer. I have recently completed my first work, a 488 page fantasy novel set in the elvin land of Silvinesh. It is presently set for publication and the final draft is with the print manager as we speak. I am eagerly waiting for the release date and it is driving me absolutely crazy right now!
I plan to post the first chapter for all of you to read, just as soon as I get the okay from my publisher. They told me that this can only happen once the release date is set, soon I hope!
I also have the sequel to The High Wizard of Silvinesh, nearing completion. I plan to make the Silvinesh Saga a trilogy with plans for expanding what I have started.
Thanks again everyone, and I will do my best to contibute as much as I can to the Guild!
I'd like to join myself, if it's not too soon to do so. I'd really like to post up some of my work, especially if I can get some constructive criticism.
I'd like to join too. I have this story that's brewing in my mind. I have developed the characters first. I hope that by joining in, I can get points on developing my plot from fellow fantasy fans like you. :angel1:
Do we have to have finished anything, I have tons of unfinshed parts to a story. I have a hard time focusing on one, and write as I get ideas, but I've been making a point to try to write more, but usually forcing yourself to sit down and think doesn't work
Well it looks like im two years too late, but ill slap my name in for good measure. Im obssessed with writing enough to convince my local dnd group to let me role a scribe character, and a librarian, (the latter died rather quickly)
I would very much like to join the Scribe's Guild. I'm fascinated by epic and magic adventures, ambiances, stories, hero characters, battles, dungeons, elves and so on
(I like Sci-Fi a lot too).
I've just decided few days ago I would start to write amateur Fantasy 'light literature'.
In fact, I've always created fantasy universes and stories in my mind, but usually using other expressive languages than writing.
It happened that I've made up my mind about it and now I believe writing is THE way.
I also have long experience in tabletop RPG; and a first play-by-forum RPG I've recently started myself as DM with lots of unexperienced but willing-to-play players, in a self-made Fighting Fantasy style adventure and rules system, provided me with a renewal interest in narrative writing; of course that differs from story writing, but it strenghtened my interest in writing in general.
I'll be glad to read, write, and discuss anything related to Fantasy, the main limitation being time. I'm accursed by both a slow-reading and a distraction spell, both probably evil and permanent.
Sure I'll join. I have loved writing ever since I was able to write.
I'd be very interested in joining. I love reading and writing, especially fantasy, and I love talking to other writers. I'd love an opportunity to compare ideas, read some fresh material, things of that nature.
I'm currently working mainly on a book that I started (there's a sample in the Fan Fic thread if anyone wants to look at it), but I also work on short stories every now and then, and I'd love to get involved in some joint projects.
Still learning to navigate the TFF world, but I am a writer and love writing and have posted a chapter of my novel to this site, as well as commented on other writers' work...count me in!!!
I like writing and creating worlds, stories and characters, if such reason is acceptable to the guildmaster or guildmasters I ask for joining in this guild.
.... So.... Do I have to do some kind of quest to join? Or you'll just need me at a high enough level?
