I don't know if this is the right place for this: but, about what percentage of people on this forum are members or affilliated with the SCA?

    Re: Sca

That percentage is probably pretty low... I for one am working on an outfit for combat, at the moment. But, it's coming together so slowly (only about half-way done, if even that!) that I haven't taken the time to do more than contact my local group and go to a fight and watch it for a while, gettin' to know a couple of fellows.

So, I'm not officially affiliated, yet, but I will be...

    Re: Sca

Welcome to the boards Lady Ariana.

I've merged your thread with an existing thread on the SCA. Please use the search function before creating new threads :)

I'm not in the SCA, I'm in a metal weapons group but we have regular contact with the local SCA group at community fairs and shows etc. I'm too skinny to do heavy fighting, I'd snap like a twig :D

Psssh SCA are too soft :p, Metal weapons are much more interesting :D, though it is fun to go pound someone with a piece of retan, I'm not SCA but like Mub, in a Metal weapons group, that also does heavy fighting, rarely though.

Oh if I was allowed to, I would :p but at least we use real weapons :p
Though, there are some pretty mental metal groups around here, one group, that uses ball and chain style flails....
Suffice to say, no one fights with them.

Haha, the old steel vs stick debate :D

I'm happy with my group. I also don't have the money or storage space to assemble a set of heavy-appropriate armour, shields and weapons.
