Cambei was silent as they all returned from the trip. It had been a brutal battle that they'd all managed to survive relatively unscathed. For that Cambei was thankful, he was still troubled however, he hadn't dropped in until half way through the melee. If things had been just a little bit different they could have been killed. He would have to pay more attention to things in the future.

However, much like before, he wasn't paying enough attention when it could have been dangerous, thank the gods for Kabora, who noticed their stalker and brought him to everyone's attention.

"His name is Sedril, found him spying over there. He had these on him." said Kabora, holding a blade to this, Sedril's back military style. He then showed Fugg the elf's weapons, which were identified as relic swords. Cambei could only wonder what they did.

In addition to this new development, Fen was apparently learning to read. Cambei had to envy this a little. He was literate, but not a very strong reader. Just good enough to get by. He had learned to read far too late in life to become fluent at it. It was good that she was being taught, reading was an invaluable skill in the world.

Cambei didn't dwell on this thaught long however, he was focusing on remaining alert, he refused to continue to zone out when the environment could present danger to himself in the others, he would do everything he could to make sure he didn't let them down.

As Fen came back, Mason came to her and asked her is she liked the books. Well, she hasn’t learned to read them yet… but she would… and that was something to look forward to. “Yes, I love them. Thank you so much.” She beamed with a smile, and wrapped her arms around his large waist.

“As long as you learn to use them… remember knowledge is true power. A weapon can be destroyed or taken away but knowledge will always keep you armed. That’s the first lesson.” Mason smiled towards her as he and her started walking towards the others. “Now let’s get going there’s a new person for you to meet.” Knowledge was true power? Really?? Then why did so many stupid kings use big giant guns instead of written words? Still, reading and writing was a wonderful thing to have… Wait… someone new??? Fen hurried up and met this new person.

The new guy was a tiny bit taller then Mason and had a fashion style that was very close to Kabora’s: Black… lots of black and dark colours. Oh, and a bit of gold… but mostly black. Fen would have been intimidated by the lack of colours and tall height if it wasn’t for the fact she had got used to it from Kabora and Fugg… actually… the idea of wearing black seemed like mysterious fun. The rest introduced this man as Sedril and said that he was going to lead them to the Elven city. Fen felt bad for the fact that he didn’t have a Meir to ride on like everyone else, but as there seemed to be no space (except with maybe Mason or Cambei) they were going to have to go much slower.

Time crawled by and the slowness was driving Fen crazy. After days of having the meirs go so fast, going walking speed with them made Fen feel like she was competing in a snail race with salt on the tracks. True, the shear beauty of the forest was able to keep Fen’s mind occupied for the first couple hours… But now she had to do something… how about talking with the new guy…

Fen trotted up beside the new man. “Hey again, I just remembered that I didn’t tell you my name. I’m Fen.”

Sedril said a few polite words and continued walking in silence…. Fen was still bored and decided to push conversation. (Before she would have never thought she would be so bold to talk this much with a stranger, but with the others behind her, she had a lot more confidence) “So….. Sedril…. Any chance I can call you Sed? Or… maybe Drill?”

    “… No.”

“Oh come on. Please? You really look like a Sed… Or, would you like me to call you by a different nickname? That would work to… Please???”

Fen peaked around her shoulder at Rapture/Ras who was riding just behind her and gave her a smile and a wink at the secret joke that only her and the strange-suited woman had. Nicknames made things so much easier… especially with names that didn’t role nicely in the mouth.

Fen battered on with the newcomer until about midday when everyone usually took a break. Raven told them of a glade nearby and said that she was going off by herself for awhile… Huh? Raven looked upset about something again. And how did she know about the glade? And… wasn’t this forest dangerous and easy to get lost in??? Maybe… maybe Raven had a dream like Fen sometimes does about this place…. Fen couldn’t think of another possible answer and decided not to pipe up as Raven left: that lady can take care of herself good enough. Ha… crazy older sisters….

Soon the others reached the glade and after woofing down a small something, Fen ran over to Mason for her first lesson… Oh this was so exciting!! Meeting new people, and reading!!!

(OOC: Smurf, I don’t know your character well enough to carry on their conversation… So I’m giving the other half to you to finish if u like :) )

The next day after Fugg had a few words with the little Fen, he went to see his Meir, and he noticed that Blizzard the dragon had left the .50gun next to Titan so he took it up and attached it to the saddle where it was when the group reached Paradise. As he packed all of his gear he sensed a presence stalking from the woods, then Kabora said that there was something between the trees, Fugg left what he was doing and concentrated on this matter.

"He’s about 100yrds in, Kabora" The giant told the elf.

Then Kabora disappeared and soon enough he had taken the individual as prisoner, then the elf handed Fugg over his swords.

“These are relic swords” Said the giant. Although relic swords are always a matter of concern, he knew about the drawbacks of the katana.

"As you know my name is Sedril and I am working on behalf of the elves. When the king of the elves had learned of you passing in this forest, he started acting more, how should I say, rigid than before. He then asked me to quickly go to you and tell you this. That you are all in great danger and that he has sent an escort to bring you to his court. I had broken off from the group to come and locate you. I thought that a full escort of elven warriors might have been a bit too hostile. But now, I leave this matter for you to discuss.”

“What ever help we could use would be good. I don’t know the woods here and no one around the area will venture more then on the edge of the forest for fear of daemons and goblin’s,” Mason knew it might be more fear then actual monsters lurking about but still some of the stories about the enchanted woods could chill a persons to the bone and give nightmares for days. Every shadow and noise would make the faintest of hearts run for there lives.” Said Mason

He then pointed to the trees and said: “Find us on the other side,” to which Fugg said “I don’t like this” snarling.

It was settled, Sedril would guide the group through the forest. Although Fugg had been there before, this made him be at his guard more than usual.

Then Mason spoke to Fen, who was sad because of the departure of the dragons, but happy because of the books Mason gave her.

And so it was that the group entered the forest, it was nearly midday but the foliage was so thick that light could barely trespass the canopy, Fugg rode at the back of the group, the forest seemed to quiet and Fugg didn’t like it.

Then Raven said she would go off for hunting or something (Fugg’s concern was only that a member of the company was going to leave the road)

"Alright, if you get into any trouble just fire off two shots so we know where you are!" Said Mason trying to add to the safety.

After a while Titan felt something, Fugg wasn’t sure what it was but the meir was drawn towards the forest and wouldn’t obey Fugg’s reins command.

Titan had led Fugg into the forest to a deer’s carcass when, out of nowhere, a pole arm hit his chest knocking him off his mount to the ground, Fugg had been set up by goblins.

They started to climb down from the trees and there were spiders approaching Fugg.

He then, as fast as lightning, drew his sword which now glowed with a fiery red, as if it was red-hot; a spider pounced from a tree, but Fugg’s blade was waiting below, ready to slice it in half.

Titan had his own trouble, since all goblins who tried to get him were killed by the large cat, they started to fire arrows at him, getting him in one side and in a hind leg, it was the cat’s roaring what made Fugg remember his beast; a goblin armed with a crossbow war almost ready to fire when Fugg took his knife from its sheath and threw it at the goblin getting him in the back of his head killing him.

“Titan!!!” Called Fugg in a strong commanding tone, then the cat dashed towards Fugg killing goblins and dodging arrows as much as he could but he could not avoid getting hit in the shoulder.

Fugg threw his sword at a spider nailing it to a tree and killing it, then, with his usual speed, he drew his rifle and started to fire against his enemies, and as he retreated, he had the meir hide behind him, eventually they were both concealed under a large rock; Fugg sniped his enemies as fast as he could fire his monstrous rifle and Titan took care of any spiders coming from the trees above.

Fugg’s sniper fire was loud as thunder, and Titan's roaring only made the couple noisier, Fugg was sure the others could hear him and would come by any time; it was as Fugg feared, the goblins had not forgotten what his commando unit did to them years ago. He needed help and fast, for more goblins were drawn to him by the noise.

A few weeks in this kind of setting…perhaps a few years…and I might forget I once thought the only beauty that existed was but an abstract concept few people could see as I do. Some experienced that moment of elation and relief when they saved a life, perhaps, or fulfilled a vow. Some felt something akin to that sensation when they took a life, or caused another’s misery. How that feeling was attained rested solely on a person’s morals and values, of course. Success and satisfaction from achieving an objective – the harder the adversity that needed to be overcome to do so the better – and that moment when one is consciously aware of that success…was beautiful to witness to Rapture. Such pretty auras…but it rarely lasts. People are never truly satisfied until they’re dead – when they don’t need to think about what to do next.

Maybe that’s why I’m still here, she pondered, considering the ragtag group she had come to travel with. There was so much history, so much pain, so much potential, and each had their fair share of demons haunting them. It was entertaining, if not a little inspiring, to watch them deal with the unnatural odds arrayed against them.

Rapture breathed out slowly, haphazardly acknowledging that Razor was becoming sick of being stuck behind Mufasa as the train of meirs made good speed to where the others were. The forest was rather quiet and peaceful and Rapture wondered how close they were to the elves, and if they were keeping an eye on the baggage train and her companions somewhere further into the forest.

She had already tried sensing for any elves, but given her relatively limited experience with them, she wasn’t entirely sure what she was looking for. She wasn’t worried though – she was quite confident she could reason with any elf that might question her. She didn’t know the extent of their magical abilities, particularly anything that involved the mind, but was also confident they would not discover her true agenda. She was, after all, naturally skilled, rigorously trained and by necessity strong-willed enough to resist and deflect the effects of mind affecting conditions, be they caused by substances, technologies, psychological techniques or magics. To date…

She decided Kabora was not the elf for her to model “normal elf” upon, and again found herself wondering about her companions. Fen and Raven from Merc. Cambei an exiled monk. Kabora an elf who has just about acquired an extra attachment in the form of Raven. Mason and all his baggage. Mr Solitary Fugg.

She sighed and shook her head. At least they were headed towards North Fort. The place had been calling her for some time now, and more recently she had allowed herself to listen a little more than she usually did. Perhaps she could convince – or manipulate – them into attacking the fort, creating a diversion for her to break her boys out? They bailed Kabora out, after all, and he was just a nobody to the group as a whole back then, right?

Then she pondered the presence of Merc. They had been after Raven earlier, but Rapture knew they were after her as well. So far she had covered her trail well enough. It was a little unsettling to Rapture that she didn’t know as much as she would have liked about Raven, but was again confident that when the time was right she could sort things out with her, and Fen. That is, if Raven doesn’t forget who she is and go chasing after elves for the rest of her life…

Changing her line of thought, she again considered the presence of Agents. So who or what are they after? They’ve been hanging around like a bad smell for a while now… Dealing with Agents non-violently would be tricky and dangerous, and most people wound up dead, but could be productive. And I’m not most people. If only I could sic Merc and the Agents on each other…that would be a show to watch.

Rapture arrived with the baggage and meirs and found the others mostly asleep. Cambei noted her arrival and nodded by way of greeting. Rapture nodded back, keeping quiet as Cambei was so as not to disturb the others. She quickly and quietly settled the mounts down and unloaded their belongings. Having caught a brief glint of a question from their exchange when she arrived, Rapture moved towards Cambei and indicated that he should join her as she stepped away from the others enough so they would not be disturbed. Cambei followed wordlessly.

“What is it?” he asked quietly when he joined her.

“Didn’t you want to ask me a question?” Rapture replied, smiling a little wryly. Cambei gave the slightly taller woman a smile of his own and a mild shrug.

“Was it so obvious?” he asked, bantering back lightly.

“Maybe just a little,” Rapture said, returning the lightness. Then she turned a more serious tone and added, “besides, it’s logical to assume so. I missed out on dragon-riding with all of you and you-all-know what else.”

“So then what did I want to ask?” said Cambei.

It was Rapture’s turn to shrug mildly. “Where I’ve been? What I’ve been up to?” Cambei nodded noncommittally. “Nowhere exciting and nothing much,” came Rapture’s nonchalant reply.

“So how does it feel to be back?” Cambei asked, watching her intently. Rapture raised an eyebrow.

“How does it feel?” she asked, surprised. “Why, I feel glad to be back,” she said innocently. “There’s never a boring moment travelling with this group,” she added truthfully. She debated if she should ask why he had asked the question, and wondered for a moment if he suspected her for some reason. She was saved from having to decide when he spoke up.

“I only asked because you had the most…peculiar look on your face as you arrived. That is what I was thinking to ask about.”

“Oh? I thought you had your eyes closed,” Rapture said curiously. She had to remind herself that he was nowhere near as young as he looked, another thing that she found both amusing and intriguing.

“For the most part,” agreed Cambei. Seeing as she would get no further detail at this stage, Rapture spoke up after making a show of taking a breath and looking into the distance as if thinking back.

“I was thinking…I was wondering what course we would take from here.” Geographically…and morally, she thought to herself.

“Have you been in these parts before?” asked Cambei.

“Briefly…a long time ago,” came Rapture’s reply, a pensive look crossing her face momentarily. Again, in more ways than one.

“Well, I’m sure we can decide together where we go from here, as a group.”

“Of course.” Rapture wasn’t entirely sure if he had picked up on the ambiguity of her statements or not, but it didn’t matter too much. She was glad to have spoken with him. Small things such as chats of this kind, here and there, kept her from being complacent, and reminded her to keep alert.

They chatted a little longer about inconsequential things before they mutually excused themselves. Rapture settled to rest for the remainder of the night reclining against the flank of a convenient meir, and Cambei returned to his apparent sentry duty.

Rapture came out of her rest abruptly at one point and looking at the sky realised there was still a few hours until daybreak. “Fen,” she muttered inaudibly, but upon glancing at where the girl was sleeping, realised it was not Fen’s troubled dreams that had roused her. She could sense anxiety, and cast her gaze one by one over each of her companions. Her eyes were drawn to the gloomy forest away from the clearing, and her brow furrowed as she peered into the near-dark. She had noticed Mason was not here.

Mason, if she was sensing things correctly, had just woken from a dream it seemed, and whatever it was about, she heard a faint sound drift over the still pre-dawn air from somewhere in the direction where she was looking. She shivered a little, wondering what that was all about.

Rapture thought she might ask Mason about it later, and tried to resume her rest when everything else seemed to be in order. It wasn’t long before Rapture was roused again, this time from sensing something coming from Raven, either she was about to wake, or she had been awake. She sighed. What’s with this place? Making everyone have crazy dreams! More than most, Rapture knew how powerful the subconscious mind could be, and how understanding and manipulating one’s subconscious was…useful.

Passively observing another’s dreams and interpreting the findings was a form of “mind reading” that only a small few highly trained and disciplined minds could protect from, if they were even aware of it, but took longer than the standard direct, invasive mind-probing techniques still favoured by the majority in the business.

Rapture was far from an expert at going on these dreamwalks, however, though she was developing it. She required proximity to her target – within a dozen yards was good – the closer the better, and repeated exposure. Previously, her experiences had tended to be just dream-sharing for the fun of it with those she trusted. One occasion, however, had proven nearly fatal for her mind when she had entered into her host’s dreams so entirely that when a building had collapsed during an earthquake, she had nearly stuck in the building, and in the dream. Since that eye-opening experience, Rapture has been erring on the side of caution, mainly seeking impressions and feelings which is both easier and safer. Over time she had become so practised at this passive picking up of vibes from others’ dreams that she actually has to expend some effort to shut them out, and sometimes suffers a psychic backlash if there was a particularly violent dream nearby.

She went to sleep again, but was woken near daybreak by Fen. She literally jumped in her sleep, waking herself as she collided against Whiplash. “What’s wrong Fen?” Rapture asked, already up and ready for the day. She was brushing down her trenchcoat as Fen hesitated as if wrapping her head around the idea that she was no longer dreaming but awake. Suddenly the girl smiled.

Rapture tensed as Fen wrapped her arms around Rapture’s waist, babbling excitedly about her dream. Rapture glanced around at her mostly-sleeping companions, noting Mason must have woken earlier and gone for a stroll) and wondered how much longer before they would be awoken with the racket. True to her thoughts, Fen finished speaking and released her hold on Rapture only to harass the others until they woke up so she could tell them too.

After Fen finished, there was a pause, and Rapture ventured, “Fen, are you sure you’re ok?” Fen was a little flushed and confirmed that she was fine, possibly realising that Rapture was being genuinely caring with her enquiry.

Mason had returned to the camp and she had exchanged words briefly with him as the others prepared for the day. Rapture told him about his companions, and saw his disappointment. She was surprised, however, when he said he was glad that she caught up with them, and seemed to trust her enough that he didn’t need her to explain what she had been doing and where she had been up until now. Rapture sighed, her mind filled with many thoughts. She knew he didn’t recognise her, either by name, voice or appearance, but she knew him – in a way – and sensed something about him that sent her into a whole new sphere of thoughts.

As everyone began sorting through the packages that Rapture and the meirs had brought, she caught the exchange between Mason and Fen. She was a little surprised by the admission that Fen had not been taught how to read and write. Did Merc suffer a funding cut? she thought wryly. While she knew reading and writing were not essential for someone to survive, they certainly were useful.

Rapture had asked if they had encountered any elves yet, and was told that they hadn’t. Curious, she had asked Kabora if that was normal that they would not confront travellers and Kabora had not given her a straight answer, his mind seemingly occupied with his some complex thought or another.

She wasn’t too surprised when Kabora brought the newcomer before the group. As they travelled though, she noticed Raven was all prickly and found it amusing.

She was brought out of her reveries when Raven said, “Mason, there’s a small glade not to far from here why don't we stop and eat before we continue?” Rapture was not the only one who caught on to the fact that she apparently did know something about these woods. When Mason questioned her, she snapped back at him. Yep…prickly’s her word for the day.

Rapture, riding second from the back noticed at one point that Fugg was no longer behind her. She glanced back, urging Razor to halt. “Fugg?” she called out, ignoring the fact that the others were still travelling onwards. She glanced at the others quickly moving out of sight through the thick vegetation, and made up her mind.

She drew out a gun and shot twice, as Mason had told Raven to, and then quickly turned Razor around and backtracked, reaching out to sense Fugg. It wasn’t hard to find him, especially when the roaring began and shots thundered through the glade. Fugg was in some kind of trouble.

Rapture slowed as she neared, seeing the spiders and goblins, and quickly gauged the situation. She leapt lightly off Razor, letting him join in the fray as he wanted to, and found herself a comfortable perch to snipe from. She had considered tossing a grenade or two, but then had decided it was unnecessary. And if there were elves watching, they might not appreciate such destruction.

She couldn’t make her way to where she could see Fugg but decided he’d realise she was a friendly when he noticed goblins dying not from his efforts. Taking quick aim, she sniped several goblins before they realised they were being hit from a different quarter. She knew it would take a moment before they could spot her, hidden as she was among the branches, but when they did, she’d be ready.

Rapture reached their camp late during the night during Cambei's shift as a guard. She motioned for him to follow her, apparently wanting to chat, this was good, as Cambei had a few questions that he'd like the answers to. They spoke for a few minutes, she was being deliberately cryptic in her speech, this was understandable, after all, even thus far they all had their little secrets. Eventually they broke off their conversation, Rapture needed some rest, and Cambei was still on guard.

By the time the morning came everyone was ready to get going. After getting ready they were on their way once more. But it wasn't long before trouble found them once again. The sound of gunfire filled the air, first in the distance, and then right behind them as Rapture moved to find the since disappeared Fugg, letting them know where she was headed with he shots.

Cambei turned as well, guiding Sage to follow Raptue and Razor. Moving through the forest at the speed they were was very dangerous, but Cambei was agile, and so was Sage, so they didn't have much trouble catching up to Rapture as she climbed up into a nearby tree. Cambei envied this as well, the power of a gun allowed a warrior to fight from quite a distance, while Cambei's blades required he get right into the fray.

No guts no glory, he desided drawing his blades and rushing into the heat of combat. There were an unholy number of goblins and spiders, so fighting through the first group he came to still allowed him to to stay out of Rapture and Fugg's lines for shots. Cambei overtook the first squad he came to with ease, goblins were slow to react, and when unaware of an enemy they were cut down with ease.

Despite a lack of skill there were many of the little bastards, and they were very well armed. Cambei spun and cut and dashed and dived and many other moves to avoid being overwhelmed. Luckily for him he was much quicker on his feet than the goblins, unfortuanely he forgot the spiders, he managed to adapt, but he had to keep that much more aware to avoid their deadly poison bites.

Scanning the sides for any danger, Mason started to notice signs of movement in the thick foliage. The sounds of crushed leaves along with the signature sounds of dry twigs snapping under foot could hardly be noticed with the calls of wild birds drowning out most of sounds. Mason didn’t know if it was wild animals or some thing less friendly shadowing them for some time.

He moved his coat back out of the way of his side cannons and released the safeties. One hand held the leather straps of his meir and the other rested firmly on the hard wooden grip of his colt navy revolver as his eyes turned from left to right.

Something wasn’t right. Something had changed and gave Mason a gut felling that what ever was about to happen was upon the group. Then Mason realized what it was, the birds. They had stopped singing and the woods became ominously quiet. Mason could see old spider webs clinging to various branches and dancing lightly in the slight breeze. The webs grew thicker and they moved slowly through the woods.

Mason pulled to a halt quickly by pulling back on the meir’s harness making his meir growl in displeasure. He looked around quickly but could still see no one approaching from the dark woods.

Then a thought bit Mason like a wild dog. He snapped his head up quickly and pulled his revolver as fast as lightning but it was already to late, “Shit!” cried Mason as he was barrel rolled from the back of his Meir. The creature hit him like a run away wagon.
He only got a quick glimpse of his attacker but he could tell by the feel of the coarse hair covered body and many legs trying to grip them self around him, that it was a spider. What kind of spider was the last thing on his mind, he had no time to think only act.

They rolled in to the brush scattering leaves and branches. Legs and barbed appendages tried with surprising power to cut into Mason’s leather, searching for the soft flesh underneath. As they rolled to a stop Mason couldn’t find his revolver. He had no time to think about what happen to it. He desperately got his arm between the creatures and tried to push with all his strength. He forced the spider away but it still held on with its long legs that far out reached Masons own arms.

Mason looked into a disgusting face with marble soulless eyes like small black pools. The poison dripped in green globs from its long fangs onto Mason hand burning his skin. With his arm locked out straight he was able to free one hand and work it towards his long knife. He could feel the hard steel sliding free as he fought with the spider. He reversed the blade in his hand and pushed up.

The Razor sharp steel slid home with out hardly any resistance. Mason started to work the blade along the spider’s body sending it into a wild thrash of pain. The legs started to lose there grip on him and then Mason was able to roll over off his back pinning the spider too the ground. Masons hand was covered in yellow puss and gore making his grip slip on his knifes handle. The spider twitched suddenly and stopped moving.

Mason quickly got to his feet and pulled out his remaining Colt. He centered the hand cannon on the spiders head. The gun bucked back from the explosion in Masons hand shattering the spider into a bloody pulp; just making sure it was dead. Mason knew that insects are the hardest creature to kill but most would always go down with out a head, body shots sometimes only slowed them down but not always. Mason was about to dash back towards his companions but something caught the corner of his eye.

About ten feet away stood a small creature covered in a wild assortment of feathers and dried mud brandishing a crude wooden staff. Beside the creature stood another that was dressed in nothing more then a leather loin cloth. His slimy green skin arms held a crude wooden spear towards Mason with a stone point lashed on the tip.

Great goblins, Mason thought in annoyance. He was turning towards the Goblins but he knew he was going to be to slow. The goblin with the staff held his hand out and said something in a crude language. A blue light shot from his hand raced across towards Mason. At that moment Mason knew he was dead. He didn’t have his life flash before his eyes as other had told him they experienced and he didn’t know if he would enjoy the experience any way, not with a life time of death behind him.

He pulled in a deep breath and watched the light hit him in the chest. Mason thought he was dead and a hole would be burned though him but nothing happened.

The goblin shaman had a look on his ugly face that matched Masons own surprise. Mason didn’t think about miracles or reasons his training was to ingrain in him. He moved his colt level with the surprised shaman and fired two quick shots into its chest. He didn’t go down quick enough for Mason so he placed another between the eyes, sending out bone fragments and brain material from the back of it shuttered skull.

The other Goblin was about to send the spear before Mason could move. Three hundred pounds of fur and muscle rocked past Mason and drowned the goblin in a sea or ripping claws and powerful jaws. Masons Meir was like a blur, it gutted the goblin into a bloody pulp with a powerful legs kicking up like a rabbit. It made the ground covered in disemboweled intestines until the big cat was satisfied with its prey.

Mason could only watch with envy at the cat’s brutal power. After the goblin had lost the cat’s interest he walked over slowly with a blood covered mouth and purred up next to Mason. Mason scratched the cat effectuality and quickly moved back towards the others wile he retrieved his knife and lost colt that had fallen beside a tree.

He didn’t know what happen with the misfired magic but he decided he would think on it later for now he had work to do. He reloaded the guns and moved back to the path.

Running off deep into the woods with her bow inhand, Raven felt calm and at ease. It felt like forever since she had last gone on a hunt. Knowing that she could easily be seen on the ground she climbed high up into a tree and sat as still as stone as she awaited for some creature, that would be large enough to feed the group, would come walking by.

With her bow at the ready with an arrow notched she had a good view of the ground bellow her. All of the sudden she heard two gun shots comming from where she had left the group. "Somethings terribly wrong!" she gasped but before she could even climb out of the tree a large buck came running in her direction with a wild look in his eye. Bringing her bow up Raven lined the arrow up and led it infrount of the massive stag and pulled the string back as far as it could go. Just as the dear came with in range she sent the arrow flying and shot it strate through its neck. The buck stagered a few paces before it droped dead onto the forest floor.

Climbing down from the tree Raven ran over to the buck and pulled out her longest dagger that was always straped to her back covered by her tank top. The dagger blade was about the full lengh of her forarm and as wide as the palm of her hand. The top of the tip notched out into the shape of a razer sharp hook so that when she stabed the buck just between its back legs and right above its privet area she could make one clean cut up the underbelly allowing for all of its intrails to spill out onto the forest floor. Once the deer was gutted Raven was just about to start skinning it when she felt as if she was being watched.

"Ada?" Raven called out while she continued to work on the carcas.

Just then a tall Elf steped oiut from behind a tree, "The strangers you have arrived with are in grave trouble!" he spoke in common toung "Go now if you with to see them alive! lead them to the glade where they will be procted!"

Standing up Raven was reluctant to just leave her kill where anything could come and clame it as their own " Ada... what about" she began to ask him but stoped as two more wood elves steped forward and began to take up where she left off "Hennaid veneg Thank you" she replied and took off on a dead run back towards where she heard the two shot comming from.

She was almost back to where she had left the room when the sound of one of Masons cannons exploding reverberated through the woods "Mason" she gasped. How she knew he was introuble was beyond her but the only thought that was running through her mind was that he was introuble and needed help and fast.

Heading towards the where the sounds of fighting were comming from Raven had reached the other just as the goblin with a staff held his hand out and said something in a crude language. A blue light shot from his hand raced across towards Mason. She went to scream "NO" but no sound came from her mouth and was soon atacked by two goblins.

Raven was jjust about to make quick work out of them when she spotted Mason's mount come racing towards her. Doddging out of the way she watched the large cat disembowel the two goblins in one swipe of its giant paw. Looking around she saw Mason was now standing watching his mount fight off the atacking goblins. It wasn't the sight of the battle that cought her eye...it was the green puss covered hand of his that shocked her the most "No, I won't let it clame him!" she spoke softly. Raven knew just what spider veniom could do to a elf and realised that if something wasn't done quickly that Mason would soon die. Running back into the wood Rave wnet off to quickly gather the moss and other hearbs that she knew would be needed inorder to save his hand and more inportantly his life.

By the time she returned Mason was walking back towards the group along side of him Meir, She called out his name "Mason," wich caused him to jump for one of him guns with his good hand.

Turning around Mason was releaved and shocked to see Raven walking over to him. Her arms were covered in dried blood up to her elbows and smudged on her cheeks "Raven what happened? I told you to let us know is yoiu were intouble" he began to scold her..but his voice rang in a deep consern with seeing the blood she was covered in rather than anger.

"Mason..Your hand!" she gasped as she she saw just how bad it was "here let me!" she replied and grabed her knife and cut at her tank top and ripped it across her midsection revealing her taunt belly. Taking hold of Masons wounded hand she wraped it with part of her shirt "this will do untill we get to the clearing and care for it properly" she explained not giving him time to object.

Mason nodded silently "were you hurt?" he asked softly.

Raven didn't know what he was talking about untill she realized that she was still covered in blood " Oh...No... its nothing don't worry about me Mason." she replied "Come lets get you back to the others!"

Kabora was just riding his mount trying to tell himself that Raven will be fine. She carried an elven bow so she had to have lived and hunted with them so she will be fine. It wasnt long after he calmed himself down when the 2 shot thundered through the woods.

"GOD DAMNIT" Kabora yelled as he leaped off his mount and into the trees jumping from tree to tree in the direction of the shots. when he got there he saw cambei and fugg overwelmed with spiders and goblins and rapture up near him picking them off one at a time. Kabora was trying to think on what to do. Kabora drew his sword and leaped down into the fight he landed on one knee and used his mind to send anything near his flying away from him. Then as they kept coming Kabora did away with them with ease ducking and slashing through until he got to Fugg. Kabora moved in behind Fugg and they were now back to back killing anything that came in range of the swords. This went on for a while until Raven yelled out.

We need to get to the Glad, NOW!!!" Kabora looked over to see Raven with Mason. Mason shooting his cannon and Raven with her 45s

"Fugg,Cambei Make your way over there I am about to end this" Fugg slashed his way throught the goblins and Cambei just jumped up and went throught the trees over to were Mason, Raven, and Now Fugg were. Kabora jumped up in the air and landed right in front of everyone and threw is arms out and sent all the goblins and spiders flying into trees and killing or injuring all of them. Kabora turned around to the rest of the group.

"OK that should buy us some time, it wont be long until they bee coming at us again. We need to get out of here".

(Very sorry Fugg i just got the message. i normally check the OCC first i just forgot this time. I hope this helps. Please tell me if it doesnt and i'll change it again)

Goblins fell under Rapture’s uncannily accurate fire. As some of the goblins had turned their attention to Rapture, she reshouldered her sniper rifle and went for faster-firing weapons. Dual-wielding her berettas, Rapture fired, killing all but a few goblins with one shot each. She was soon out of ammunition, and holstering the pair, she leapt down. Just in time too, for the three spiders that had been closing in on her were nearly within striking distance.

“Cambei!” she exclaimed when she saw the monk had arrived and was putting his blades to good use. Cambei smiled and nodded back to her while fending off another two goblins. “You don’t happen to have a spare sword hidden in those robes of yours, do you?” she asked lightly as she grabbed a quarterstaff-sized piece of deadwood and backed towards him as the spiders chased after her. Rapture didn’t really want to trust her life on the reliability of that piece of wood. She knew a few well-placed shots could bring these monsters down easily too, but didn’t have time to reload right now and her other handguns were in less easily accessible places...

“Not exactly,” said Cambei as he glanced at her. He saw the spiders coming and acrobatically leapt to intercept them. “You take the goblins,” he said to Rapture as he landed. “I can handle these.” Rapture didn’t argue, but flung the treebranch towards the nearest group of goblins, forcing them to duck, and drew her main bladed weapon – a long hunting knife with a particularly bloody history.

Before she had time to even fight the nearest goblin, there was a disturbance to her right and Kabora made his entrance, and goblins and spiders were flung away from him. The goblins nearest Rapture and Cambei were similarly knocked off their feet, pushed over by an unseen force. Kabora noted Rapture and Cambei, and fought his way over to Fugg.

Rapture heard shouting, and spotted Raven and Mason. Where’s Fen? she suddenly thought, a stab of alarm freezing her momentarily. She barely had time to duck under a melee attack from a goblin to her left.

"Fugg,Cambei Make your way over there I am about to end this" Kabora said over the noise of the battle.

Great, thought Rapture sardonically. So you care what happens to them but not me, huh? Rapture smiled grimly as she parried an attack and backhanded a creature, picking up its crude flail. On the other hand, however unlikely, perhaps elves just don’t sense me…ha! Wouldn’t that be something? She parried another attack with her left blade-wielding hand and then smashed a goblin head with the flail.

As the other made their way to Fugg’s position, Rapture lashed out with blade and flail one more time, then leapt aside to land into a controlled, tumbling roll to bring her closer to the others. Sheathing her blade, she dropped the flail long enough to reload her berettas. She picked up the flail again in her left hand and had just enough time to look back as Kabora jumped into the fray, sending their foes flying away from him once more.

“Fen! There you are!” Rapture said, spotting Fen keeping a low profile. She must have arrived some time after Kabora and stayed back. “Thought you got left behind,” she said to the girl.

“Aww, did you miss me?” Fen said with a grin. Rapture chose to not answer, and Fen didn’t give her a chance to anyway. “What’s going on?” she said. “We’re riding and all of a sudden Kabora’s turning around and you and Fuggl…um, Fugg…were gone. Are you hurt?!” she said suddenly, noticing a discolouration on Rapture’s black-suited shoulder.

Rapture glanced where Fen was looking and brushed at her shoulder. “No, I’m fine. Just a scratch, literally.” She brushed at is lightly, and when the mark didn’t disappear, she rubbed at it a little more carefully, removing the dirt from the slightly dug-in line that now marred her otherwise normally spotless black skin-tight suit.

"Look out!" Fen said as some goblins had managed to work their way towards them. Rapture spun around, simultaneously drawing a beretta in her right hand. She shot a few times, and the small group advancing on them dropped dead. Fen was glad the she didn't have to use her powers and fight since Rapture clearly had no problems dealing with them.

"Come on, we better make out way over there," Rapture said, glancing at where Fugg and the others were, less than a score of yards away.

Fen, who realised it was the first time any of them probably had seen Rapture fight, said, "That...that was so cool Raz! You got them all! I mean, you hardly aimed! Have you always been so good at...shooting things?" She had been about to say "killing" but changed her mind. For a moment Fen was once again aware of how little she knew about Rapture.

"More or less," came Rapture's mild answer. "Let's go," she repeated, hoping the girl would drop it. Rapture definitely did want to sit down and have a little girl-talk with Raven and Fen, individually and together at some point, but now was hardly the time. Especially not with Raven being so caught up in the elvishness of things recently...

As they started towards the glade, Fen was already thinking on how her first lesson with Mason would go. Ok! First, she would learn what all those funky symbols mean… or.. was it sound like? Did every symbol thingie… no.. They’re letters… Did every letter mean something? Or just made a sound? Ah.. Who cares? She would learn…. Hey, where did everyone go? Did they get ahead of her while she was daydreaming? Of course… how nice of them to… At that moment, Fen heard shots from Mason’s big guns and knew that there must be trouble. Argh!! Can’t they go a single day anymore without running into something that wanted to kill them??

Although afraid, Fen urged Whiplash to go faster to catch up with the others and see if she could help. What she came upon was a sight filled with chaos and her friends in the thick of it. Goblins! Fen had to help! Pulling out her dragon-dagger, she tried to urge Whip forward to help… But obviously, he was more afraid then she was and gave a whining meow in protest. So, with a sigh, Fen dismounted and rushed forward.

Well, this was different… Finally, Fen was fighting something that was her height instead of towering over her. So, when it came to battling, it came a bit easier then it would for grownups who would have to bend over to get the goblins. Again, her training paid off as she slashed forth and defeated the first few goblins (not killing them, just making them too hurt to get back up). Then, something black and fuzzy came forward: spiders!! Giant, ugly spiders!!! Fen gave a girlish squeal of fright at the sight of them and tried her hardest to keep the first fuzzy thing away from her. Then, as more came, Fen sheathed her weapon and slid of one of her gloves… solid ... And like that, two… and a half… froze on the spot with a coating of solid air around them. She had killed them, but that’s ok because she had to do so to survive.

As she reassured herself that killing the creatures were ok, more came crawling over the mass of air and tried to leap for her. Fen, in a panic, tried to slip off the glove again, but as her girlish fear was so great, her power broke out with her glove still half-on… liquid… The misfire half-melted the spiders into disgusting green goo, leaving about half of the spiders’ body left intact: twitching and flailing.

The revolting sight brought on a wave of both awful Merc memories and disgust to Fen. So much so, that panic overwhelmed her common sense and she booted it out of there, screaming like stupid, little princess. “EEeeEEEeeeeeeEEEE!!!!” The spiders easily kept up pace to the screaming child and Fen was forced to think rationally once again and grabbed her dagger to fend of the things off or die trying. Luckily, one of her good friends heard her panicked screams: Whiplash. Just as the spiders leaped, her Meir jumped in the way and knocked them off. Wow, he was more scared then Fen was. But, when she was in trouble… he came… he actually came for her. Whip looked back at her, and somehow, Fen knew that her wonderful Meir wanted her to get out of there and to safety. Fen decided to do just that. She ran to a thicker part of the forest and did something she knew she could do well: hide.

Watching the battle in hidden safety, Fen could see that she wasn’t the main target of the critters and attacked her simply because they were in her way… actually, they seemed to really be after Fugg…. Or was it Kabora, who was back-to-back with Fugg? Either way, Fen felt ashamed on how she acted… spiders… ugh… She could handle dragons, muties, almost any other kind of creepy-crawly bug thing (including those giant bugs in the desert) but she could NOT stand the sight of big, fuzzy, spiders. To give her some credit, this was the first time she seen spiders THIS big… and she did stand up to them… The others were starting to move. They were still fighting, but they were also going to the glade… to safety.

As Fen looked for a way to safely join the others, Ras came from the chaos looking all heroic-like with a gun in one hand and a bloody flail in the other. “Fen! There you are! Thought you got left behind.” Ras said, honestly worried. It was nice that someone worried about her in all that fighting.

“Aww, did you miss me?” Fen said with a grin, trying to hide the fact that she was screaming her fool head off a moment ago. “What’s going on?? We’re riding and all of a sudden Kabora’s turning around and you and Fuggl…um, Fugg…were gone. Are you hurt?!” Fen said in one breath. Again, she was left in the dark about something and she wanted to know everything that she missed. And more importantly, WAS Ras hurt??? The suit wasn’t cut, but that didn’t mean something underneath wasn’t broken by one of those goblin weapons.

“No, I’m fine. Just a scratch, literally.” Ras said, rubbing the shoulder as if it was nothing. Fen was about to suggest taking the suit off so someone could take a better look at the shoulder when a few goblins seemed to come out of nowhere ant sprang for Ras.

"Look out!" Fen shouted. Ras, smoothly spun around, pulled out her gun, and shot them all dead before they even had a chance…. Wow… That was fast… she may even be able to beat Mason with shooting like that.

"Come on, we better make our way over there," Ras said, walking to where they needed to go.

“That...that was so cool Raz! You got them all! I mean, you hardly aimed! Have you always been so good at...shooting things?" Fen said, knowing that calling someone a killer may be wrong… especially if they were a soldier like Fugg said.

"More or less," Came Rapture's answer. "Let's go” She obviously didn’t want to talk anymore… Fen was surprised, and yet not surprised at Raz’es ability. She was a lone traveler by herself long before she met the group… Anyone like that had to be strong to survive with such freedom. Everyone weaker was more-or-less chained to a lord or king… Fen was never given that option.

“So… you know what this means, don’t you?” Fen said, in a half-serious tone, as she dogged beside Raz.

    “Hm?”

“You’re gonna have to teach me all you know about survival!”

“Hm.” Said Ras. “Aren’t you busy enough learning from everyone else?” Ras said, seeming sarcastic.

“But I need to learn as much as possible as soon as possible! If I don’t I’ll get caught and I’ll never reach…” Never reach her goal…. Twenty years old… Most street kids died before they could reach it. With all Fen had to face, it was a near-impossible dream, but it was a dream none-the-less… but, she couldn’t tell her little wish… telling any thing like that means it will never come true. “Ah… nothing…” Fen said, as she continued on with Ras.

    Twenty… someday… maybe…

They had been walking for a while, Sedril chose to not talk with the others in the group as they needed to get to his Elven escort as quickly as possible. He looked up into the sky and all he saw was indifference. The clouds were almost overcast - yet there was no rain - nor sun for that matter. This would tell him nothing today so he would just have to rely on his tracking and woodsman skills. Just as he was deep in concentration, looking this way and that the little girl came walking over to his side. She was an interesting little one, Sedril had always been used to the Elven children of the city and they were always quite well-behaved. But this one, this one was different as if she had a lust for life that she didn't quite see herself. Sedril quietly remembered faintly the days of his innocence and wished he could just revert back to those simple days. But he was interrupted by her talking.

“Hey again, I just remembered that I didn’t tell you my name. I’m Fen.”

"Oh really, well in case you didn't know my name is Sedril little one." He smiled slightly with this, almost a forceful one but Sedril resolved to be polite in the presence of the ecstatic infant. They continued to walk. Then she spoke up again,

“So….. Sedril…. Any chance I can call you Sed? Or… maybe Drill?”

This was edging on extreme cringe material for Sedril, but he held himself back and produced a simple "No"

“Oh come on. Please? You really look like a Sed… Or, would you like me to call you by a different nickname? That would work to… Please???”

The nagging was becoming unbearable for Sedril but he resigned to the fact that he would be spending some time in the group so he decided to talk openly to the girl.

"How about something like, Sedril the Vanquisher of annoying nagging children?"

He smiled openly about this one, but the young girl looked quite cut and folded her arms purposefully and looked away. Sedril decided to heal the conversation with a quick injeciton.

"Ok, you can call me Sed, if you want."

The young girl seemed reinvigorated by this and the 'mouth - motor' started up again and did not stop, nor did Sedril try to stop it either, until midday.

    ----------------------

The fighting was intense, gunshots from the military man's cannon were blasting the goblins down and his fierce big cat was ripping them to shreds. The giant was hacking away with his reddened sword with the others defending against the goblins and spiders.
Sedril had joined in with the fighting, his powerful katanas were cleaving the creatures in fell swoops. He had not decided to unleash their power as of yet, they were working fine as normal. Deep into the conflict he decided that it was pointless with the numbers of the goblins so he twirled his death dance slicing another goblin in two and decided to get slightly away from the fighting. He needed to do something.

The sounds of combat were at his back and he continued to walk/run until he found a small clearing. Reaching to his back he got down his pack and opened it up. Inside he produced a small tin whistle, just another trinket from the elves. He played a small quick tune and placed it back into his pack. The tune had an interesting quality to it, it seemed to hang in the air and was carried along through the leaves and across the breeze. He knew that it would reach the escort and tell them to come faster. He shouldered his pack again, and drew his swords.

Reaching the scene of the battle he quickly joined in again, twirling and treading the dance of the swords. Slicing and maiming, rending and killing. Moments later he caught eye of the lady in the suit, she was with the young girl although the young one was not fighting, Sedril was silently glad about that. He saw her blast down a group of goblins and then motion for the girl to follow her out of the battle. Sedril decided, as they were the closest, that he should follow them. They were his best chance at a regroup in the chaos.

As they were far enough from the battle, Sedril spoke up trying to be subtle so as to not alarm them.

"Fen! Raven? Perchance may I come with you, I have absolutely no idea how to regroup the others from the battle. Oh and I have informed the Elven escort of our whereabouts, they will come to us - but not immediately."

It was dim in the Chamber of Supplication as four men in ornate black robes sat in apparent meditation. Even though no word was spoken out loud an intense conversation was going on. For these were no ordinary men, but bishops of the Black Cathedral. Their thoughts ran between them like a quiet wind.

“How will we do this? The Archbishop will never go along with this. He has always supported our master. Even now in his weakened state Caliphus would never betray the high priest.”

“Have you been in those robes so long that you forget what the lowliest monk is taught? This is the way of the darkness. Even our high priest has done it. All of his kind teach the wisdom of patience until opportunity. We have been patient, our opportunity is here.”

“How do we know this? It was by his power that this cathedral was built. By his power those dark terrors were made to serve his will. You have seen what he can do? We have no certainty of his fading or feigning. Even if this were verified, what shall we do when they come against us after his death? You cannot believe that they will be satisfied with the head of Calidon.”

“By that time we will have the strength of nations and the agents will be of no concern to us. As for his strength, have you not searched his aura? Have you not felt that flame that the Breath of the Ancients has almost extinguished? He did not return here to commune with the Heart of Darkness, nor only to free the Omicron. He came hither to heal. Verily he can build his strength no where else, here only the kalai are stilled.”

“Are you sure about that? The incident at the gate puts doubt in my mind. They have never dared to make an assault at our doorstep before. Still I agree with you that the high priest of darkness has served his usefulness. He suspects nothing, why would he have journeyed hither with only one agent. His body guard can easily be overpowered by the power of darkness. His body is drained, he is cut off from aid, and we have all we need.”

“Do we know where the rest of the relics are?”

“It is taken care of. The agents have been delivering messages here for the priest for a week now. They will soon have the five required to begin the Rite of the Ancients. Where else would they take them but here? The Drake will not be leaving here until Calidon calls for him. They will destroy Calidon and we shall feast from the fruit of their labors.”

“How can you be so sure? You have not explained to us how you will insure the agents cooperation. Nor have you explained how we will gain the cooperation of the Archbishop.”

At that moment they were disturbed by movement at the far end of the chamber. Even though their eyes remained closed, their wills were bent fully on the intruder.

“Calm yourselves brethren its just Randolf.”

If any of them had opened their eyes they would have seen the black cat prancing gracefully in their direction. The cat of the Archbishop had long ago made himself known for his ability to walk in and out of any chamber in the place. No one knew whether or not the cat could actually take news back to its master. Thus it was easy to see why the bishops had given up talking to each other for their more discrete means of communication.
The cat went to the foremost figure and rubbed affectionately against his hand. He reached down and scratched its ears, never opening his eyes.

“Do not concern yourselves with the agents. Leave taming them to me. As for the Archbishop, I doubt we will be fretting over him for much longer. The high priest has asked him to do the separation..”

“Perfect, I will begin the preparations for succession immediately.”

They reached the clearing and then Raven motioned for Mason to sit wile she tended his wound. She kneeled down in front of him so she could see if she had to clean any dirt from his wound.

Mason couldn’t help but notice her back hair cascading down over her shoulder and clinging to the drying blood between her breasts. His eyes dropped down only for a moment then returned to her eyes. “Would you mind,” he asked her gently.

She looked up from what she was doing and eyed him, ”mind what ?”

Mason nodded towards her open blouse that had become undone.

“Oh,’ she smiled playfully, “what’s wrong? ..you never seen a women before?”

Mason knew she was only playing with him but still it made him feel uncomfortable. “Yes but. I would feel more comfortable if you could cover up some.”

“Sit, still this will only take a moment. .I am not ashamed of my body and besides it might keep your mind off the pain.” She turned and reached for a small pouch of potency.

Mason couldn’t see her face but he knew that she was smiling at his embarrassment. He didn’t tell her that the pain was never a problem because of his mental conditioning and training. He only wanted to let her finish as fast as possible.

She spread a cool cream over his hand that tingled. She then wrapped his hand in a clean cloth taken from his pack and tied a small knot making it secure.

Mason made a strong fist with his damaged hand and then looked at her in surprise, “thank you.”

“Make sure you keep it clean, it should be good enough to lose the bandages in a few days.” Raven placed the last of the cream in his pack and moved off to see if any other had need of medical attention.

Just then he watched as Rapture and fen found him sitting on a hollowed out log. “I see you survived yet again.” Mason winked at fen.

“I think she has more lives then a cat,” Joked Rapture.

Fen gave her a look then smiled under standing they were only teasing her. Mason couldn’t help but laugh quietly at the funny face she made to Rapture.

“I see you have been hurt,” Rapture spoke seriously.

“It’s nothing only a scratch,” Mason didn’t like a fuss made over him so he played down the degree of his wound. He decided to change the subject away from his hand. “I would be dead if it wasn’t for the skill of each and every one of you, you all fight well. It’s nice to have such skill around.” Mason looked from Rapture to Fen and gave her a small smile.

    “Hungry?” Asked Rapture.

    “Starved,” replied Mason.

“Good.. You start a fire and I will go and retrieve some of that deer that Raven had shot earlier,”

Mason smiled up to her, “thanks I would like some, I will make sure the fire is nice and hot by the time you return. I would also like to have a nice long talk, later with you if that is ok?”

Rapture just nodded and quickly disappeared into the dark wood.

“Well I guess it up to us to make a fire,” smiled Mason to Fen.

“I can light it easy,” Said Fen holding up her hands.

Mason had no doubt about that so he went about gathering up as much wood as he could.
He returned with a good arm load of dry wood and set it in the center of the clearing. Fen true to her word, make the dry wood ignite in a small fire ball until it died down to a nice size. The two of then decided to sit and wait for Raptures return. They sat side by side and Mason started to show Fen what the scribbles were in the books he had given to her earlier. Fen’s eyes lit up with excitement, every time she made a connection in her mined and started to understand some of the simpler words.

Fen was only slightly disappointed when Mason had to stop briefly to place a pot of tea on the fire. Mason was surprised at how fast she could learn but he had long ago decided that this group was full of surprises.

When ever one reached the clearing the dear she had shot was hanging from a tree. It was already guted and skined and wit insides spread wide open by a thick stick in its ribcage so that the blood could drain from it. The skin and antlers where set near by so that Raven could decided to do what she wanted with them.

The first order of busness for her was to tend to Mason's hand. She had a run in with the spiders once and almost lost her leg in the same fasion that his hand was going. She never even realised just how much skin was showing after tearing her shirt to make a guick bandage for him. But apperently there was enough to make him..seam a bit uneasy to say the least. After she had finished tending to Mason she walked around to check the others when she spoted Kabora. He had come kind of odd look about him she couldn't read him clear enough to make out what he was thinking.

Walking over towards him with her hands placed firmly onto her hips, "And what are you looking at, Elf?" she asked raising an eyebrough "Do you have a problem with my shirt too?" she added

A smerk grew upon his lips "No, You look just fine to me Raven! although...I would go with out the dried blood all over your body." Kabora replied

Raven couldn't belave what she had just heard "What are you saying...that I "need a bath" huh? You have some nurve...." she started to rant but made sure to keep her voice low so the others wouldn't hear them.

The smerk dissapered from his face as he cuped her cheek with one hand and tiped her head slightly " Look we all just had a tough battle back there, Raven" he began speaking in a softer tone "Becides I think someone should go with you to make sure that nothing happends to you when you do go to clean up!" he explained

Crossing her arms accross her chest, Raven took a step back "And who would go with me? YOU" she asked quickly. Shaking her head " I'll just take Mufassa with me!" and with that Raven walked over to thier Meir and grabed her pack and lead him off into the woods.

As the group got to the glade everyone look tired from that battle. "Man 2 big fights back to back. Man thats Crazy" Kabora thought to himself. Kabora lead Mufassa to a area to where he could lay down and rest and Kabora just looked around looking at everyone. He noticed that Raven was covered in something but couldnt quite see what. After he figured out it was blood he was trying to figure out where it came from searching for cuts. While doing so he noticed that her shirt was torn across her mid section. "hey, not bad" he thought to him self with a slight grin. the he looked up and noticed that Raven saw him staring at her.

"Aww, crap" He said softly so no one could hear him. Walking over towards him with her hands placed firmly onto her hips,

"And what are you looking at, Elf?" she asked raising an eyebrough

"Do you have a problem with my shirt too?" she added. A smerk grew upon his lips

"No, You look just fine to me Raven! although...I would go with out the dried blood all over your body." Kabora replied

Raven couldn't belave what she had just heard

"What are you saying...that I "need a bath" huh? You have some nurve...." she started to rant but made sure to keep her voice low so the others wouldn't hear them. The smerk dissapered from his face as he cuped her cheek with one hand and tiped her head slightly

"Becides I think someone should go with you to make sure that nothing happends to you when you do go to clean up!" he explained. Crossing her arms accross her chest, Raven took a step back

"And who would go with me? YOU" she asked quickly. Shaking her head

" I'll just take Mufassa with me!" and with that Raven walked over to thier Meir and grabed her pack and lead him off into the woods. As Raven walked towards the woods Mason was sitting by the fire.

"And where do you think you are going?" He said

"Where does it look like I'm going, to take a bath." She repiled in a sarcastic tone

"Oh no, not by your self, not again." Mason replied.

"I'm not going by myself i have Mufassa here to help me" Mason just looked at her with a annoyed face.

"Its ok Mason let her go" Kabora now walked up. Mason gave a confused look

"You just going to let her go by herself after what just happened" Mason said

"Why not she has Mufassa. I dont see the harm in it" Kabora said looking at Mason with a Face that told him not to worry about it. Now it was Raven with the confused look

"Ok thank you, i'll see you later." Raven replied. After she got out of ear shot Mason looked back at Kabora.

"I cant believe your are just letting her do this."

"I'm not. I am just going to let her think that I am. Are you crazy, at this point i dont think anyone should go off alone." Kabora then went invisable and jumped into the trees and caught up to Raven and Mufassa. Raven kept ranting about the guys not thinking that she could handle her self, and she talked to herself the whole way. Kabora really didnt pay attention he was just making sure that nothing happened. They came up to the River and Kabora jumped onto a somewhat weak branch and it made a creeking noise and Raven wasted no time grabbing her bow and firing an arrow right in the area where Kabora was. Kabora caught the arrow and reappeared. Raven just had a evil look on her face

"So i guess you are a "Shoot first, ask questions later" kinda girl" Kabora said while jumping out of the tree.

"I thought you were letting me go alone" Raven said

" Yeah, well. I lied. after what just happened i dont think anyone should go off on their own."

    "Fine..... just dont look."

"And what do you think i am. A peeping tom, please. I just came to make sure that nothing decided to attack while you were here." Kabora went invisable again and went back into the trees to make sure he had a better veiw of the area. While Raven took her bath Kabora was the perfect gentle men and never looked once, Although he kinda wanted too, who wouldnt, but he didnt. He just made sure that nothing happened. After she was finished they walked back to the camp where Rapture and Mason had some of the deer over the fire and was getting ready for the meal.

"I thought you were going to make her think she was alone?" Mason said to Kabora with a smurk.

"Yeah well slight mis-calculation of a branch made it kinda hard. Not to mention an arrow flying at me." Kabora relpied

"Yeah well thats what you get for trying to sneek around people that want to be alone" Raven said sarcasticly and Mason and Kabora laughed and they all sat down by the fire and waited for the meat to cook. Kabora looked over at Fen

"Fen, It looks like everyone here has given you some sort of tranning besides me. and i would like to help if you would allow me to?" Fen looked up with a face of joy. She started bounceing up and down

    "Do you mean it?"

"Of course, after dinner i'll show you come tricks with that fire relic, hows that?" Fen just jumped up and down with joy. Dinner came and gone and it Kabora took fen into the open field away from the woods just in case.

"Why are we going way out here" Fen asked

"Well starting out can be hard. and if you mess up, im sure the wood elves would be very happy to have their woods burned down" Kabora said with a laugh. Fen just gave Kabora an evil look and they sat down with the fire relic in the middle of them

"OK this is just like your water relic. All you have to do is focus" Kabora held it his hand and flame came up from the relic into his hand.

"When you focus....... you can make anything" he said while the flame started to form into something. Fen looked on while the fire formed in to a dragon. A huge smile came across Fens face. They sat there making figures for a little bit and making them fly around until they had a nice little show going on unitl kabora stopped.

" There is one other thing i want to show you." All the figures disappeared and fen looked at Kabora. Kabora once again got a flame from the relic and held is hands out and made the flame larger and larger until it was the size of a basketball.

"If you ever get into trouble. Just do this" He took the fire ball and made a fist and shot it into the air. then when it was pretty high he opened his hand and it blew up and made a loud bang then disappeared.

    "How did you do that?"

"All you have to do. is make a large ball. close your fist and just do what you were doing a min. ago with the figures, just this time make it go into the air. the when its high enough, open you hand and it will explode and make a loud bang so we will know where you are."

"Cool i wanna try" Fen focused and did exactly what Kabora said and made the signal flare.

"You learn pretty fast kid." Kabora said with a smile. After doing the flare a couple of time they went back to doin the figures and every once and a while Fen would make a flare just to make sure she had it down

Rapture began moving off, even as Fen kept chatting. “So… you know what this means, don’t you? You’re gonna have to teach me all you know about survival!” the girl said.

“Hm…Aren’t you busy enough learning from everyone else?” Rapture said as she kept an eye out for danger.

“But I need to learn as much as possible as soon as possible!” Fen replied. “If I don’t I’ll get caught and I’ll never reach…” The girl trailed off, and Rapture sensed her agitation.

Never reach what? thought Rapture. A certain place? No…something less tangible…

“Ah… nothing,” Fen said after a moment. Rapture glanced at the girl who was lost in her own thoughts. …What is that I’m sensing? Some kind of goal…Time related? Adulthood, perhaps? Would make sense…if kids survive to adulthood, they’re either damn lucky, or they probably have what it takes to survive another decade or two.

“I wouldn’t worry about it,” said Rapture casually. “You’re not an ordinary girl, Fen, and you’ve survived on your own long enough without any fancy training from the others.”

Fen was about to speak when they both had to duck a mangled corpse flying through the air in front of them. Rapture then spun to face the voice hailing them. It was the newcomer.

"Fen! Raven? Perchance may I come with you, I have absolutely no idea how to regroup the others from the battle. Oh and I have informed the Elven escort of our whereabouts, they will come to us - but not immediately."

“Sedril, isn’t it?” said Rapture, her voice neutral though her gaze was a little harder. She didn’t really know who this fellow was and hadn’t yet had the chance to find out. Still, if he claimed he was with the elves, then possibly he was not a threat to her. “For starters, I am Rapture. Raven is the other girl.” The man nodded apologetically at the mistake and she seemed to be fine with that. “You’re certainly welcome to come with us – I’m not about to stop you. You mentioned the elven escort. Why won’t they be coming immediately?”

The man shrugged noncommittally. “I’m sure they have their reasons. They don’t always explain themselves, you’ll find.” Rapture nodded, apparently satisfied with the explanation. “Shall we go?” Rapture nodded again and took point. The three moved off, killing the off the odd spider or goblin who got too close.

“You’re pretty handy with those katanas,” noted Rapture to Sedil at one point.

“You’re not half bad with that flail and gun,” came the reply. Rapture glanced at him, then smiled slightly as she returned her attention to the matter at hand. He’s a strange one, she thought. What is it with elves and people who have been around elves? Do they all end up so…strange?

They spoke very little and soon caught up with the others, finding they were the last to arrive. Rapture noted Raven tending to Mason’s injuries and wandered over, Fen tagging along. She nodded in greeting and exchanged a brief word with Raven as she moved off to check for more injuries with the others.

“I see you survived yet again.” Mason winked at Fen.

“I think she has more lives than a cat,” joked Rapture, though inwardly she wasn’t in a joking mood at all. Fen made a face at Rapture, playing along, as Mason laughed. They all knew they were just joking around.

“I see you have been hurt,” Rapture said to Mason, changing the tune of their banter to a more serious one.

“It’s nothing only a scratch,” Mason said dismissively.

“Riiight,” said Rapture sarcastically, though quietly, momentarily thinking of her own little "scratch." Rapture eyed him with a look that said she didn’t believe him. Mason saw this and avoided eye contact with her, instead changing the subject and speaking to everyone as a whole. “I would be dead if it wasn’t for the skill of each and every one of you, you all fight well. It’s nice to have such skill around.” Mason looked from Rapture to Fen and gave the girl a small smile.

Rapture saw the suspiciously meaningful look he gave her then Fen before smiling at the girl, and wondered if he suspected something about her. Does he somehow know that Fen will be pretty safe with me? And why, really, does he actually care for Fen’s wellbeing so much? Rapture glanced around at the tired group and then back at their unofficial leader.

    “Hungry?” Asked Rapture.

    “Starved,” replied Mason.

“Good.” She certainly could use the time away from the others. “You start a fire and I will go and retrieve some of that deer that Raven had shot earlier.”

Mason smiled up to her, “thanks I would like some, I will make sure the fire is nice and hot by the time you return. I would also like to have a nice long talk, later with you if that is ok?”

Rapture’s curiosity was piqued, but she merely nodded. Rapture was finished not long before Kabora and Raven arrived back at camp, and for better or worse Mason didn’t have the time to mention that long chat he had in mind. The fire was burning and ready, and even the smell of raw meat was making mouths water. As Mason spoke to Kabora, Rapture said to Raven with a small grin, “So, went for a bath, did you?”

“What else?” said Raven with a slightly exasperated sigh.

Rapture grinned and glanced pointedly at Kabora. “And you took some…protection too, it seems.”

Raven made a face. “I didn’t ask him to come along, and stop looking at me like that. We’re not…it’s not what you think.” Raven was beginning to blush and turned away, as if in disgust.

“Do tell: what am I thinking?” baited Rapture, still grinning, growing more amused by Raven’s attitude.

Raven turned back to face her and changed the subject. “You know, Rapture, why don’t you go take a bath? I don’t actually remember you doing so before, now that I think about it.”

Rapture's grin was replaced with a rather sour expression. “I don’t actually need to bathe out of necessity,” she said at last. “So unless you’re trying to tell me I’ve got something on my face, or that I smell funny – which I don’t in case you’re about to say anything – I think I’ll pass.” Rapture heard Fen chuckle, but when she glanced at the little girl, Fen quickly suppressed the sound, but was struggling to keep a straight face.

Fugg kept sniping as fast as he could, when he saw some goblins being killed by another source of fire, it was rapture firing from atop a tree, later on, Cambei and Kabora joined the fight, Kabora fought his way towards Fugg and soon they were fighting back with back but goblins and spiders were starting to surround them with certain ease.

“We must take cover” Fugg told Kabora, Titan was besides Fugg walking alongside with him.

“To that fallen tree, there we can make our stand there” Said Fugg again, when they reached the tree, Fugg got his rifle to his back and had Titan drop his burdens including the .50 cal machine gun, which he quickly armed, locked and loaded while Kabora supplied cover fire.

“Cover our ears” Said the giant and Kabora covered his ears, and then Fugg took his rifle’s tripod from his coat. “I hope this will work” he thought to himself as he put the massive gun on the tripod and started to fire a furious rage of fire at both the goblins and spiders that were torn in half due to the firepower, soon enough the goblins and spiders started to retreat, then they would try to push again trying to make their way towards the giant and the elf, but they would only get torn apart once and again by the huge machine gun.

The shots were going quite wild, and Fugg was mustering all of his might to keep the gun steady and aim properly, seeing that the man had a respectable amount of ammo, a goblin chieftain blew a whistle and then the fell creatures fled to the woods disappearing into the darkness.

Fugg then stopped firing but it was too late, some of the internal pieces of the automatic .50 cal machine gun had been melted together after shooting over a thousand rounds non-stop; the gun was ruined.

“Dame it!!” Said the giant tossing the spoiled weapon away at the point the goblins had gone to.

He had other things to worry about, like Titan the meir; he had been hit quite badly, Fugg managed to disinfect the wounds and carefully remove the arrows, after bandaging the large cat, Fugg knew Titan would not be able to carry anything for some time, so he unloaded his beast and took only the essential and carried it by himself.

Fugg knew Titan would be slow so he helped the meir to stand and then went to retrieve his sword from the spider’s corpse, the rest of the trip towards the forest was silent for Fugg, he was even more silent than accustomed

He travelled at the rear of the group until they reached a clearing in which they would spend the night; Kabora, Raven, Mason, Fen and Rapture were minding their own businesses, so Fugg just sat under a tree and leaned back to it; Titan rested nearby.

Mason sliced off a nice piece of venison with his knife and let it cool in the crisp air. He picked it off with his fingers, placing the well cooked meat between his lips he savored the wild flavors as he chewed methodically. Grease dripped down his fingers witch he quickly licked away before it reached bandages on his hand. He then noticed Fugg leaning beside a sturdy looking tree with his arms crossed over his chest scanning the area.

Mason cut off another good size piece off deer and filled two tin cups with spiced tea. Balancing the three items he stood and made his way over to were the giant was standing. Mason held up the cup with the tea and deer meat.
    “Tea,” asked Mason.

Fugg nodded and accepted the tea but declined the roasted deer meat.

“So.” Spoke up Mason, “What was that all about?”

    “What was what?” answered Fugg.

“Come on lets not play games! You know as well as me that they were after you.” Mason placed the boiling hot tea at his lips and sipped it slowly.

“What makes you think they were after me?” Fugg answered in a cold voice.

“Don’t think that I couldn’t tell,, that they were only keeping the rest of us back wile they surrounded you.”

Fugg shrugged his shoulders as if it didn’t matter.

“Well what ever you did, you must have pissed them off royally. I haven’t scene goblins so determined to bring down one man…Its not in there nature to show such determination.” Mason sipped his tea again.

“We survived didn’t we,’ but then Fugg noticed masons bandaged hand. “look..” Fugg started, “we all have demons from our past and some are not pretty as much as we would like them to be.”

“Fighting is one thing but dieing for some old vendetta that I have know knowledge of is quite another,.. so out with it.” Mason looked at him.

Fugg decided that he would expect no less if the tables were turn and Mason was the cause so he decided to let him know what was going on.

“I wouldn’t worry about it,” said Rapture casually. “You’re not an ordinary girl, Fen, and you’ve survived on your own long enough without any fancy training from the others.” Ras said…. Wow… Did she know about Fen’s little wish? Or, just a good guesser? Fen didn’t know, and was about to ask when Sen came out of the mess to join her and Ras.

Soon, Sen joined Fen and Ras, and after Fugg unloaded a whole crud load of bullets from that giant machine gun of his, the goblins and spiders finally left them alone. With the gun now broken, Fen was just glad they all survived once again. As they got to the clearing, wounds were cleaned by Ras and Raven (Although no one noticed, Fen paid special attention on what they were doing) and, yet again, light bantering broke out between everyone (well, almost everyone). Ha, Fen loved it. Fen’s sister seemed to have a knack of showing off her prettiness without even knowing, and seemed both happy and afraid (she gets angry when she got afraid) when men noticed. After Mason got his arm patched up, he turned to all and talked to everyone:

“I would be dead if it wasn’t for the skill of each and every one of you, you all fight well. It’s nice to have such skill around.” He said, giving a small wink and smile to Fen…. Was he lightly teasing her for screaming like an idiot and running from the spiders? Or was he telling her she was doing a good when she killed off a gnome with her blade, and finished off a few spiders with her powers? Either way, she knew Mason was not trying to be hurtful, and smiled brightly at his words.

Next, it was getting-ready-for-dinner time! Fen was yet again so happy that she got to now have good meals every day. How lucky! While some went to get meat, bathe, or stand guard, Mason opted for fire duty. Fen, not asked to do anything, wanted to help in some way…. Oh!! Her fire relic! She hasn’t used it yet, but, to start a tiny fire, it couldn’t be too hard…. could it? “I can light it easy.” She lightly told Mason as she whipped out the relic from one of her many pockets (yes, she carried everything she owned in those pockets… well, except for the dagger which she just shoved down her belt). Mason smiled and let Fen try. She gave a small glance at Fugg, making sure that he either didn’t mind, or wasn’t paying attention and then, she started…. Ok….. It’s just like the water relic…Just put a little energy through….. Concentrate on the logs…. Burn… And with a small puff, a candle-sized flame started. Mason was satisfied, and started to get more wood as she very, VERY slowly, willed the fire to grow to a good size. Soon, Mason was back and decided to give her a very special treat while they waited for Rapture… Fen got her very first lesson in reading.

Like with everything else, Fen put in all the effort she could muster to understand everything…. It was very hard at first… each scribble meant a sound… then there were rules, and exceptions, and letters could have different sounds…. All her lessons before now were of a watch-and-copy sort of style. Reading was different, and it forced Fen to think differently… sort of like when she started to control her powers or relics… Slowly but surely, things started to makes sense… and those sounds… became words!!! She was doing it!!!! She was learning how to read!!! While the meal cooked and even during the meal, Fen and Mason sat side-by-side, struggling through each word together, one coming easier then the next. About half-way through, Fen noticed Cambei watching them with a face that looked a bit upset. Did he want to help Fen read? She would have to ask him sometime. But now, Fen remembered Kabora’s promise to teach her about fire relics after the meal and she couldn’t wait to start more training with a new teacher

Kabora took her to a spot away from people or trees so if Fen made a mistake, she wouldn’t burn down the forest; remembering how often she drenched herself with the water relic, Fen had to agree, but gave him a bit of a scowl anyway. With a smile, he started. "OK this is just like your water relic. All you have to do is focus" Kabora held Fen’s relic in his hand and drew a flame out of it and into his hand. "When you focus....... you can make anything" He continued while the flame started to form into something…. The shape grew familiar… A Dragon!!!! Kabora made an all-fire, fire dragon! She smiled wildly at the shape and with Kabora’s help, she started.

Together, while both holding onto the relic, Fen started to make simple shapes and soon, they danced along with Kabora’s more beautiful, elaborate ones. It was amazing!! A whole light show made solely with their wills and the power of the relic. Fen couldn’t help but laugh with wonder at the sight. Soon, Kabora stopped, and taught Fen something else that may be very important with the relic: how to make a signal flair.

“If you ever get into trouble, just do this.” He said while making a ball of fire, shooting it into the air, and willing it to make a mini-explosion. Fen was caught up by it’s prettiness of it and his words…. If she ever got into trouble... Another words, Kabora, as well as anyone from the group, would come to help her. Again, she realized how lucky she was. Doing as Kabora said, she turned her little ball of joy into a real ball of fire and shot it up into the night sky to burst with her own good feelings.

"You learn pretty fast kid." Kabora said with a smile.

“Nah…” Fen said with a smile and blush. “Thank you Kabora… And… I’m sorry for being scared of you and your coat way back when… You were right, I’ll never say never again.” Fen finished, giving Kabora a hug before they started going back, shooting off some flares as they went.

As they got back to the camp, Fen noticed that Whip had come back from who knows where, and saw that he too got a spider bite during the battle. As Mason was ok, she was sure that Whiplash (who was about the same size) would be ok too with the right treatment. She asked Raven to patch up her poor kitty, and with reassurances from her sister, knew that everything would be fine. Satisfied, Fen practiced some fighting, using the water relic (using some water that was brought back from the nearby stream), and reading. Before she knew it, the fire had turned to glowing ashes and she had pushed herself to exhaustion once again. As Fen pressed her face against the soft fur of her meir (as she couldn’t feel squat through her stupid gloves), and making sure not to touch his sore spot, she could feel sleep calling her once again. Yet, there was one more thing to do: get some questions ready. If she went back to that river with the girl, she wanted to be prepared this time… Ok…. First, why wasn’t the bad place not bad?... Second, what was that bad thing in the lake?...... Third, why did she get such weird dreams.. was she the only one?... And most importantly… The…. The thing she should find out above all else…. What was the girl’s name?

And with that, Fen fell asleep against Whip, and finishing off another day.

After having her fill of the dear meat, Raven got up and walked over to the carcass. There was still a lot of meat left on the carcass so she decided to reward the Meirs with it...for all of there help fighting the spiders and goblins. Pulling out her one of her swords she hacked it up into equile pieces and gave one to each of the mounts. She knew that they could hunt on their own but with each piece given she spoke word of thanks in Elvish for all they have done for the group.

Looking at Fugg's wounded Meirs carfully, Fugg had already done an exclent job at tending to him. She knew that he needed the attion of a healer more experiance than her skills alone "Easy boy" she cooded as he flintched at her tuch "We'll get you help soon! just take it easy for now" she spoke softly to the large animal.

Looking around at the group, Raven saw Fugg and Mason deep in conversation, Cambi was sitting off on his own while Kabora and Fen went of together as Rapture was still sitting off by the fire.

Out of no where a loud explosion sounded "Oh great...Now what?" she asked herself resting her right hand onto the butt of her Colt 45. Then she saw Kabora and Fen walking back together. Raven smiled as she watched the young girl she has come to think of as a sister practice with her relics then come over and asked her to tend to her Meir. It was bitten by a spider but it's wound wasn't half as bad as Mason's so she knew that it would be just fine. Walking over to a near by tree Raven watched over Fen as she fell sound asleep agenst her furry friend.

The sky had grown darker and soon the only sorce of light was that of the camp fire. Closing her eyes for a moment, Raven leanded back securly agenst the tree to catch some rest as well. That was untill something sharp poaked her firmly in the side, "Kabor..." she began tp reply untill she snaped her eyes open. There was only one thing she knew that could feel like that...an Elven arrow!

Jumping away from the tree She drew out both of her pistols as she moved to cover Fen who was still sound alseep. Although she couldn't see anyone in the trees she knew that they had company and there was no telling on if it was friendly or not "Hey guys! We've got company!" she called out over her sholder to the rest of the group. Keeping her eyes fixed on what was infrount of her Raven could hear the others jumping to their feet as well "Who is it Raven?" someone called out to her but she was to conserned over protecting Fen to know who it was.

From out the clearings surounding cam dozens of Elves, all with wepons drawn and fixed at them. Hustering the gun in her left hand Raven quickly lifted Fen up into her, arms as if she waied nothing at all, "Do not fire on them..." she called out to her companions as they all were forced into the center of the clearing. For some reasion the Meirs remained calm and did not attack the entruders.

"Who are you and why do you hold my Sister aginst her will?" a deep and intemidating voice called out from just beyond the tree line. Raven closed her eyes tightly, for she knew who, was speaking and sunk in behind Fugg and Kabora so that she couldn't be seen.

"Who are you? Show yourself first!" Mason called out in the direction of the voice.

Steping out of the trees was a tall elf with long blond hair. He wore a small crown of silver that told he was the Prince of these woods " Releace my sister, stranger and I will see to it that you all see a fair trial!" he demanded of Mason, who didn't take it lightly.

It was at this time that Fen woke up "Raven whats going on?" she asked suddenly drawing the princes full attionion.

"Releace my sister NOW!" the Prince demanded raising his arm for the elven gaurds to fire on his command.

Setting Fen down Raven and pushed her way past Mason holstewring her remaining gun "Gwadaor...Al Brother...NO" Raven called out in Elvish "They are my friends my brother! They saved me after I ran away!" she cried out as she jumped inbetween Mason and the Elven prince.

The prince orders him gaurds to lower there weppons. There was a look of pain with in the princes eyes as he looked upon Raven in silance, " I feared the worst had happened to you Raven" he spoke as he pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly, "May we join your camp for the night, it is far to dark to make the jurney home?" he asked looking down at Raven " I extend my deepest appoligise to you all! " he spoke up looking directly at Mason.
