I have a few RP ideas bouncing around my head if anyone is interested. Please post your thoughts and opinions!

    Myths of Thalassana:
The great Kingdom of Leonard the Wise had long stood on the shores of the Seepay River, south of the ancient ruins of Kaegil on the shores of the Sea. It was a shining shield against the goblins of the South and the ravagers from the East, filled with gallant knights clad with the colors of the Crown.
To the northwest lay the City of Wonders, where the wise wizards of the High Council kept the knowledge of the Ancient Days, before the Plague. They had magnificent powers mysterious and arcane, but they were generous with their knowledge, and had gifted our King with many magical suits of armor, the like of which could not be rivalled by any blacksmith. Upon these suits were laid spells of power and strength, allowing those who wore them to lift heavy stones as if they were empty boxes, or carry many men upon their backs like children.
With this gift of magic armor, Leonard the Wise and his noble knights were able to drive back the goblins in the Great War, and kingdoms from all the lands of the West lent their aid, from the wild-men of the Deserts to the stout herders of the plains with their wild stallions and long rope-weapons.
In the years that followed, the Kingdom had a period of peace and prosperity. Now, the High Council asks us to go forth into the wilds of the southwest in search of a mysterious mineral of the ancient world, which glowed without fire and could curse men who looked upon it with boils and sickness, yet held unimaginable power if harnessed by the wisdom of the Ancients. The wizards assure us that our armor is enchanted to prevent the curse from falling upon us, but warn that things may have changed in the past few thousand years...

    Cyberpunk RP:
    World Timeline:

2040, Dr. Nishida of Osaka Polytechnic makes a major breakthrough in mind-computer interfacing.

2048, Dr. Kurzweil of Alphabet Labs completes the prototyping of the first comprehensive map of the human brain.

2057, Manhattan Lower Ward floods in Hurricane Nancy, resulting in a refugee crisis of unprecedented proportions as Miami Flu breaks out in the aftermath.

2060, riots all across the nation following the highly controversial "election" of President Nick Rodriguez results in the declaration of a national state of emergency in the US, which causes a global economic depression, spurring China and the Eurasian Union to enter talks on creating a world currency, soon to be known as the Credit.

2062, the Miami Flu is finally eradicated with specialized vaccines developed by Alphabet Medical and distributed. Government oversight is highly lacking.

2063, controversy as Alphabet Security is hired on to "assist" the National Guard and federal troops.

2065, the USA declares bankruptcy, civil war erupts.

2067, the United Nations is dissolved and replaced by the Afro-Eurasian Union. Alphabet Security is world-renowned as the private military of choice.

2068, the Credit becomes the de-facto currency of the world.

2069, the New York - New Jersey - Chicago metropolitan area slowly revives, albeit poorly. Most of the new construction is done via nanofabrication and industrial-scale 3d printing, but the cost means only the rich can afford to live in the new buildings, leaving old and deteriorating skyscrapers and the back alleys to the poor and the criminals. Street slang calls it "the Sprawl".

2072, Blizzard Entertainment partners with Nintendo and Microsoft to release the Cyberdeck, a device which allows anyone with a neural implant to "jack into cyberspace" and experience full-immersion virtual reality. Back-alley "black clinics" spring up everywhere to offer cheap and shady surgeries.

2073, Taiyang Medical and Sarif Industries begin advertising "augmentations", prosthetics which are "100 times better than organic limbs" with the vision to "raise humanity beyond human limits". First in line are military contractors, with Alphabet Security taking the lead.

2074, black clinics begin offering augmentation surgery in addition to neural implant surgery

2079, a breakthrough in Switzerland at the Large Hadron Collider results in the long-awaited "grand theory of everything", featuring quantum gravity.

2082, Tesla Motors develops the "world's first functional antigravity mechanism".

2083 Flying cars are developed by Alphabet Heavy Industries.

2085, the ITER fusion reactors come online. Preliminary analysis reports stunning success. New fusion reactors pop up all over the world, with the promise of "free energy".

2087, "natural meat" is nearly nonexistent, along with "real vegetables" due to desertification and the increasing cheapness of synthetic equivalents. "Soykaf" replaces coffee, synthetic ramen and other cheap industrial food derivatives replace "natural" foods for all but the extremely wealthy.

2091, debate rages over Alphabet Labs' proposed creation of a "sentient, self-improving artificial intelligence". Proponents praise it as the "next stage of human evolution", while detractors argue that it could mean the end of humankind entirely.

2093, the first suicide bombing occurs at the New Jersey branch of Alphabet Labs. 20 are killed, 423 injured. A group calling themselves the Humanity Front take responsibility for the terrorist attack.

2094, the AEU surgeon general releases a world health report, noting a dramatic rise in suicides and death via dehydration by users of Cyberdecks who jack into the matrix and never leave.

2095, Alphabet Heavy Industries deploys the Spinner, an armored hovercar armed with the latest in weapons technology meant for use in the crime-filled streets of the Sprawl. The Yakuza and the Triads practically salivate over its potential use in local gang wars.

2097, the "city level system" is unofficially in use, both by the rich and the poor of places like Hengsha, Chiba, and the Sprawl. the "upper levels" refer to the palatial living and shopping spaces inhabited by rich and powerful living at the tops of skyscrapers, traveling to and fro almost exclusively through expensive hovercars. the "lower levels" refer to the crime-ridden, shadowed, and garbage-littered hellholes at the foundations of those shining towers.

2098, the "polar megavortex" appears, covering much of the northern hemisphere. rather than bring snow or sleet, the weather pattern results in heavy rain and relatively cold weather in cities all over Eurasia and north America. Leather trenchcoats, scarves, and heavy military-spec combat boots are the norm among inhabitants of the Lower Levels, along with umbrellas, if they could afford them. Upper Level dwellers, of course, have their dry, comfortable palaces to live in.

2099. The Financial Times reports a booming economy, with stocks surging for Taiyang Medical (TYM), Serif Industries (SERIF), Alphabet (ALPHA), Nissin (TYO), and Neurosoft (NSFT) the result of a corporate merger of Apple, Microsoft, and several other tech companies in the wake of the 2060 and 2093 depressions. Official unemployment numbers are around 2%, but word in the Lower Levels say it's probably closer to 45%. The biggest buzzword of the year is Transhumanism, also known as Humanity Plus. With only a few years away (according to official sources) before Alphabet Labs unveils its sentient supercomputer, Upper Level citizens are lining up for the anticipated chance for "mind uploading", which could potentially allow for effective immortality. The Humanity Front, of course, tries to rain on the parade by bombing several labs and convention centers around the world, but the hype for H+ is undaunted.

July, 2099. Bigelow Aerospace, in partnership with Virgin Galactic, Space X, and Alphabet Heavy Industries, proudly announces the opening of the first extraterrestrial city. Unlike the colonies on Mars and on the Moon, Freeside will be green, verdant, a perfect utopia for all who can afford the entry ticket and the ride up to space. No crime, no poverty, endless luxury. For the rich, naturally.
Dive into a world of intrigue and assassination, of resistance and plutocracy, of the dark and scoured pits of the Sprawl as Inspectors, ninjas, mercenaries assassin others seek out the reclusive Akiyama Kouji, and the key to the fate of the world.

    Tales of Ice and Vine:
The lands of Winter and Summer have ever been at a tense peace, though the Kings and Queens have tried and somewhat succeeded in keeping the relationship mostly peaceful. Time does not flow there as it does in the land of mortals; one may enter young and leave but a second later older than the hills, or enter once and leave no older, yet find the world completely changed. The Fair Lands are connected to mortal lands in many places still, for those who keep to the Old Ways. The Enchanted Woods appear on midsummer's eve and midwinter's morn, the Floating Island comes when sun and rain fall together upon the sea, and since the First Day the Sacred Pillars have ever been a gate between the worlds, for those who know the pass-key.

Lest any forget, however, Faerie is most certainly not a safe place as mortals use the term. Certainly everything is polite, from the Forest Gentry and the other Fair Folk to the smallest Pixie, Wisp and pebble. Yet the politeness is not simply a tradition as mortals know it, but truly a Tradition, an Old Way, and in Faerie the Old Ways have a power few mortals can guess at. True Names command, Oaths bind, and Hospitality gives the Threefold Return in the most mysterious of ways. The Fey are not like mortals; they weave nets with words yet never lie, spy upon humans yet curse those who watch them, eat entire harvests of grain and are never satisfied yet are full with a saucer of milk. They prank humans by taking away their mouths without considering the implication, and are shocked at human's flesh-eating nature despite their occasional appetite for children's hearts.

The door is open, the gate is unlocked. The Tales of Ice and Vine are about to be told.

    Cosmology:
    "WAKE."

In the Beginning was the Word. "Wake". You have no memory before that. You wake, knowing Who You are, and What You are. Your personality is formed, Your speech and abilities innate and majestic, but Your memories begin with that one Word.

You are Shapers, and Your purpose is to Shape the World that is Creation. This is the Dawn of Time.

Before You is the Void, and in its midst, a Plane, empty, shapeless, awaiting Your Shaping and Will.

This cosmology one sounds very cool. I am supportive of this. Would there be a system for this or would it be more conversational and free-form?

Conversational and free-form, although obviously with rules, of course. The rules are mostly "don't attack players ooc, keep battles in-character and in-universe, don't bring up IRL religions and politics, don't seize Realms that don't belong to you without first asking permission and RPing it out" and all that. The only set "goal" is to create some sort of fantasy world, with the players serving as the gods, basically. As the world develops and gets more and more complex, we might start setting up in-world "rules" and "laws", like "mortals by definition cannot do X" or "only X can utterly destroy and kill a god, with X consequences".

awesome! if you want the Maker to make an appearance, just say so. It can get quite lonesome if you're the only god.

A Tatooine based RPG would be good. Might help out the Jedi's and Tusken's to get along.
Would be an interesting story line, no doubt!!

The plural of Jedi is the same. It’s just a pet peeve of mine. It’s not Jedi’s nor Siths. It’s Jedi and Sith, dagnamit!
