Wow, just think! It was two years ago today that Return of the King came out. Sure dosen't seem that long ago. And tomorrow is 3 years for TTT, and Monday is 4 (thats right, FOUR YEARS!!!) years for FOTR.

Two years... wow. And FOUR years since Fellowship. My how time does fly. I was in uhhh... 8th grade. 8TH GRADE when Fellowship came out. Gravy... I feel old.

Heh, you know I think I can still remember exactly what I was wearing when I went to see each movie on opening day. :D Good times, good times.

I remember that my aunt - who watched FotR with us - told me to guess of which race the horse was that drew Gandalf's carriage in the Shire. In my opinion this horse looked kind of small, and because my aunt had some Welsh ponies I knew it had to be one. So I said it was a Welsh A. She nearly killed me because of that, because it was a Welsh cob. That's all I remember. ^^ Interesting story, eh?
And that's 4 years ago! I usually can't even remember what I ate the day before. :p

What really is scary is how right after I watched FotR, I went to discuss it on this forum's origins. How long this community has been around is scary (though only a few members were around back then that still show up now a days.)

I, also, was in 8th grade when FOTR came out in theatres. Now I'm a senior in high school. It still seems so unreal that it happened so long ago. Four years ago was when all the excitement began and it kept me excited for three more years.

It's a shame that all the Lotr excitement and buzz is over. Everyone forgot about everything else in the cinema world (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.) because of Lotr. Well, it'll all come back when The Hobbit arrives (hopefully).

OMG you guys really make me feel old...lol! :faceit:
Anyway, I still have the LOTR bug I'm getting ready to reread everything again. I wear my LOTR charm bracelet everywhere and even have Concerning the Hobbits and Bridge of Khazad-dûma ringers on my cell phone. I know I'm a real geek, but it's so funny to see people's reaction when my cell phone goes off and you hear them hum along to it with out even realizing they're doing it. Or that one person who just smiles and is either thinking " I know that music" or "my gosh she's a total nerd!" :D Long live LOTR!

BTW, today is J. R. R. Tolkien's birthday I found this link: The Tolkien Society if you would like to toast our beloved author!

@ HD: Excellent I know I love all of the CD's, so you play the Cello? That's very cool! I wish I could play an instrument.

I was lucky enough to get a signed LOTR Sketchbook by Alan Lee for Christmas I was so overwelmed I started to tear up...yep just another example of being a girl and geek all wrapped up in one! :D
