On the LOTR movie website, they have released the dates and the features that will be on the theatrical release of ROTK. It looks like it will be the best theatrical release yet!

    (200 minutes! wow....thats 3.33 hours! I didn't realise it was so long.)

    What do you think?

I'll rent, but I'm waiting for the EE before I put my greenbacks down.

I know people that do. It just kinda seems like overkill.

Yup, and a waste of money in my opinon. I mean, after I buy the extended version, why on earth would I want to watch the theatrical release again?

I always buy both. Fullscreen theatrical, then the EE later.

But my parents are ****in' loaded, so its no problem for me.
    It's only $20. I'll get it back.

I always buy the widescreen version of the theatrical release and then the EE whenever it comes out. But the thing that I don't like about the thetrical release for ROTK is that there isn't going to be an EE preview of it.

Thoose are the only movies I've downloaded, and since I bought them later on, I think it's kind of ok... but only if you buy them ;) :p

same here, got a copy of the Academy awards demo DVD and sated my passion between the time it disappeared from the theater and came out on DVD, bought both versions. I dont steal generally and I couldnt live with the horrendous quality for long anyway.
