It's been many years, and after I saw the movies I decided to do this, but I am just now getting around to it! I'm on chapter 1 of The Hobbit, and planning to read through the trilogy afterwards. Anyone else at this stage like to join me in discussions about it as we go!

When I last read the hobbit I was a teen. I relate to it much differently now.

As Bilbo receives his unexpected guests I REALLY relate to him, and his concern for his pantry, his schedule, his plates and his aversion to adventure!!

The Hobbit was read to me by my Mother when I was very young, and was the first Real book (novel) I ever read on my own. Definetly good to read it before the LotR (by the way its not a Trilogy = ) As you will catch a lot of statements that referr to things that happened in The Hobbit. Anytime you want to discuss whats currently going on in either of the Books, pm me or start thread about it, I'll be happy to talk about it = D
