To post the pic, click the go advanced button next to post quick reply, then down just a little way below your post you will see a button that says manage attachments, click it, and then click browse, then you will be able to find the pic on your computer, double click it, and then click upload, and then when it appears close the pop up box and it will put the pic in you post.

And I as well would like to see this "defect", so follow those instructions and post the pic.

You have to change format in a picture editing program first like MS Paint, Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop etc...

copy the picture (cut / paste) to Paint (Start menu, Programs, Accessories, Paint) and save the picture as .jpg or .jpeg extension. then try again

Hmm.. I can't see anything wrong, except maybe the fuller isn't 'balanced' left and right side. The right side looks nice and straight, but the left side of the fuller seems to curve out a bit.

The pic doesnt show it very well, but, like shards of narsil at the top of the blade next to the fuller, there are lines like they didnt balance the blade all of the way to the top.

    its hard to explain

    DUDE,
I have been collecting swords for abut 8 years now, that is just a grinder mark or will you a grinder reminder, nothing I have those same defects on my ranger too. personally I thing the defects as long as the sword maintains it's gerneral apperance and don't look like s**t oh well it is charater not a flaw. but as is it is your sword return it if you like but who is to say you won't get a worse one in return, these are just repros and not hand made. Just a thought Justin. :ybounce:

Its not a big deal really. Its a small grinder mark like Justini said. I dont think its anything to worry about. If it does bother you... you can reaturn it.

I think every ranger sword has that, mine does. I don't think there really is anything wrong with the sword, looks like it is machined out to let the crossguard fit exactingly.

Justini is correct, the grinding marks are common with mas produced swords. Not a deffect. You do have choices however if this is bothering you. Like you said at first you could return it but like Justinis said you may get one worse off then the one you have. Or you could polish it out. This is very labor intensive if done correctly. It envolves using four to six different grades of sandpaper first. Starting with the most course then going down to the finest, then using polishing rouge of different grades for the final mirrior finish. THen you have to make sure you avoid the official logo so not to remove it. Just a suggestion.

United does not mirror polish these blades due to the cost it would add to the price of the swords.
