I've read on some other forums that a few wanted a cloak similar to the ones in the Ranger Apprentice book series. It talks about the cloak being mottled and having the colors green, grey and brown in it. I dyed some material with the mottle pattern with just green and brown and it turned out ok. Let me know what you think of the pattern for a cloak

Pretty close. Just make it even more mottled and add in a bit more gray and you might just have it. But first, try your current one out and see how it works. Just don't forget to bring someone to help you by being the person you try to surprise. Oh, and don't forget your saxe knife!

I'd add more grey, and maybe add a little brown to the green mix, and make it lighter with some yellow maybe.

Now for a black and white one heh heh

Yeah I tried to add grey to it and for some reason it didn't take. I plan on adding more brown in green in areas that are more focused on one color. I can't wait to see what it will look like in the movie when it comes out.

If it comes out at the end of 2012, it'll have to wait for the Hobbit fans

Maybe it's just my computer, but the cloak looks just brown, grey, and blue-grey to me.
Nice job on the mottling part, tough

Camouflage is betrayed by colour, shape or movement. Best way to test it is to go into some trees and see what a friend thinks :)

The colors aren't the same as in a0 forest, more of a little bit lighter green and earthier brown. This would work much better in a dark forest or at night than in most forests during the day.

I think it looks fairly good. A little bit lighter of a green would have been perfect. Keep it up.

Yea, just add some grey, a bit more brown, and maybe even a tiny bit of light green
