I've never read the book and probably never will but I read the first book and saw the first movie and loved the film so I'm really looking forward to this one.

I can't wait for the movie... Prince Caspian is a cool book and the film would do it more justice than the BBC version... it's comforting to know that Warwick Davies is going to be in both... love that symmetry.

And Eddie Izzard is voicing Reepicheep *squeeeee* sorry, a huge Izzard fan!!!!

Thank you! I haven't had much time for forumming lately, the past few months have been an emotional roller coaster ride... anyways not the place for an explanation...

Still we're a few minutes closer to this film... yippee!

Ha! I know, I love Warwick, and Eddie Izzard as the voice of Reepicheep is fantastic. :) So many people are excited for this too, which is great, b/c I feel like not enough people I know appreciate Izzard.

Did anyone else see the trailer during the Superbowl? It was so much better on tv then my computer screen--- Did anyone get chills during it, or was that just me?

I definitely got chills seeing it on the TV as opposed to the computer. I love the epic/action feel it has to it. I haven't read the book, but I'm still really excited for this to come out. Do you think I'll be ok with seeing it with out reading the book?

Hey, can someone refresh my memory as to how old Prince Caspian is in the book? Because as I watch the trailer over and over again, I sort of get the feeling that the actor they pick seems a little old.

But maybe this is just me being wacky...

Good point. I don't remember how old he is supposed to be, though I think that you may be recalling the parts of the book that tell the story of Caspian's childhood. I know that by the time of the events in the book, Caspian is significantly older than Peter, so the film doesn't strike me as weird. If he's like 35, then that might be a stretch, but otherwise I think they'll be fine.

Yea, from what I've read a lot of people seem to think that Caspian in the book is younger then what he appears to be in the film. Ben Barnes, who plays Caspian does have a younger face, so I agree with Stevenlink, that it's not like he has a full beard or something. I think he'll do a good job with the role.

Prince Caspian I think is meant to be about sixteen or seventeen at the point when he fights Miraz, so I don't find it strange to see someone slightly older playing the role. The person that played the part in the BBC version I feel was just that slightly too young for the part I feel, doesn't mean I dislike the BBC version, how can I? It got me reading a great set of books and found me a man to look up to and admire.

Plus my two new cats are called Edmund and Lucy... Lucy spends most of her time sleeping on top of my wardrobe... figures!

No kidding!? That is too funny about your cat on the wardrobe. I feel like people are already critical of Ben Barnes look, but I think he's going to be awesome, b/c like you said, he looks like the perfect age, if not a TAD older, which is fine b/c the youngins need someone who looks older and is tronger to lead them/ look up to. Think this will play out nicely on screen, plus the battle scenes are going to be epic! :devilbat:

Yea, I agree, the battle scenes are going to be awesome. I really liked the first film, but from what I've seen so far, Prince Caspian should definitely have some awesome action. I've been watching the Super Bowl spot on YouTube, and the editors did a great job with all the quick cuts, not to give anything away. The pace of it really gives a good sense of excitement, I just wish we could see a clip or something.

Yea the 1st installment was good, but Caspian just looks really entertaining. I think it's going to be a really intriguing story and I hope they do a great job adapting the story.
