I have really bad posture since I spend so much time sitting down and working on computers. Because of this I hardly even know how to sit and stand up straight, it's almost painful for my body to sit up straight since my muscles aren't trained to do that. I want to work on improving my posture and have been googling a few things but I was wondering if anyone here had any tips.

I used to have really bad posture and horrible back pains. But I was recommended to use a corset a few times a week. It actually has helped out a lot.

That's odd, I always read that corsets were bad for your health. But I guess those were the really tight ones. I need another option though. I wouldn't even know where to find a corset.

Core muscle strength training helps your posture immensely! Yoga, Pilates and dance are all great for that kind of thing.

    You're welcome :)
I have waayyy less problems with posture since I started taking a dance class which emphasizes core strength. A friend of mine and I started together. She used to have back trouble too and she doesn't anymore since she started the class.

I've heard that getting the right chair and the right desk height is good, as well as alternating your work places (desk, sofa, kitchen table, etc.). This cam from [male] webdesigners who spend their entine day in front of a computer.

Haha I have good chairs, I just don't sit in them properly. That's something I need to work on. The chair's fine, but I always sit haunched over, or with my feet up on the desk, or some other stupid position.
