It's North Carolina, USA. Sunset Beach is the island haha. Aptly named
Nice pics Hammer and Crouton.
@Hammerheart: that crab is impressive. And getting it whilst surfing just makes it cooler.
@Crouton: that dome just ruins the tower.
Do you think? I always really liked the dome. And they needed to build a roof there. So instead of knocking down the tower they kept it and built a roof that works around the tower. Hence the dome like shape.
I think the dome is cool.. it kind reminds me of a spiderweb and it's a neat image juxtaposed over the old-looking tower.
Photo of an ornamental lake in the botanical gardens near my place.

thanks , my boyfriend is much better at taking nice pics, but he always takes them when i'm not looking, even the one i'm in the front of the pic, i didn't notice him taking a pic, sneaky basterd .
Haha, he just likes having you in them, i understand why, you're super cute the best photos are taken when youre not posing after all. Goes for everyone.
haha that's true
These pics remind me so much of your avy. You're pretty, Beldaran.
Well, more than just pretty. You'd make a smashing Mord Sith. I always say, when you've got it, flaunt it.
Those are nice pics. You know that if you upload the photos to an image hosting site (tinypic, photobucket) then you can load the photo into the thread using and we will be able to see them without clicking on the attachments.

That stick insect is so cool! I love stick insects so much. You have to be so careful with them though. They are so fragile... they could snap like a twig haha.
it soo is cool I'd love to see these critters in RL!!! When I first saw mantis in North carolina, I spent like 20 mins just starring at it ... I was zoologist-to-be since 7 years... turned out to be biochemist...
We used to keep stick insects in one of our science labs in high school. They had a habit of getting out of their tank so at the start of some lessons everyone would have to go around and pick them all out of the curtains and put them back in the tank. We had the ones that look like brown leaves. Like this:
Stick insects are awesome. We used to get ones as long as your forearm back at home. They were so placid and unconcerned about us picking them up too. So cool!
