Is it just me, or has the post count in the spam section been deactivated? I mean fair is fair...maybe it should be that way, I just wonder why....and why now?:)

The thing is, you try to avoid spam with it, but I think it will turn other members also off to post in other threads or even come to TFF, cause members feel really free in the spam section, they can live theirselves out...just my opinion.

Nope it is definitively off. I don't feel it's a problem though.

yeah, actually I dont really care much for the spam section, but there is a reason it's there, its to prevent spam in the other sections. Now I know there are lots of people who spam to get a higher post count, I used to be one of them lol (still maybe am), I dont care if the post count gets turned off. I already have such a hight post count anyway lol. But I just hope that those who spam for a higher post count dont start spamming in other threads just cause their post count doesn't get up anymore in the spam section

that could be fair, as for example *the name drawns in a exeggerated fake cough* has got a fake large post count, as the person has spammed a lot.
and we even have an "award" called "greatest spammer", so.... yeah, it's ridicilous.
i don't care if it is gobne.

Me too. I'd hate to delete their accounts.

I stopped counting the posts in Spam because people shouldn't get "credit" for posting "jdnfwjn" 20 times in a row like some do.

true but shouldnt we move certain topics to a kind of fun forum cause there are a few topics which I dont really consider spam

okay its a way to get your post count up but for me its really just a game like the men vs woman game

There are light spam topics and heavy spam topics so it would be great to seperate those although I guess that would take a lot of time

edit: nah forget about what I said, it's not a big deal! Indeed you should get posts for the quality of your post and not something like "qjdklmfjqksjf" lol. And I just hope it will motivate people to post in REAL topics more than just in spam

take one and pass it one type things should also not be spam.

It promotes goodwill and getting to know one another.

We already have that. 1/3 of the topics in the General Talk forum could be considered "light spam". "What are you doing now?" is not really profound, ground-breaking news in the fantasy genre.

We let certain things go in the GTF because it does promote "community", however, we cannot have "6 shades of spam" each with their own section. It's too hard to regulate.

So apparently spam posts were deactivated and reactivated while I was gone. OK.
