I figured I'd formally welcome you, seeing as you slipped below my radar before. Don't take it personally, I ignore most people here.

It's great to see that there are nautical-piratey fans interested in fantasy such as Robin Hobb and Eddings :D I love all three of those things too. Who was your favourite character in the Liveship Traders, Jolly Roger? Mine was... Either [obviously] Brashen, or the Paragon. An adorable addition to the story.

I liked Kennit and Etta. Kennit was an idiot, but I found his character the most interesting of the lot. And I had more sympathy for Etta than Althea. Maybe I'm just twisted.:D

When I was a kid I used to have the old Playmobil pirate ship.It was awesome.

2 summers ago when I was playing WOW during the August and I was in Stranglethorn Vale and the jewel of that area,Booty Bay(a Disney-like Pirate town)I was drinking that Captain Morgan's Spiced Gold Rum....it's not like the classic Captain Morgan's Rum which is red and bitter. It's much sweeter and spiced and it is very good to drink. So from that drink I offer you to drink with me and talk about plunder and such.Maybe we should create a Pirate's guild.Create a nice flag and talk about owning our own small tropical island to hide the loot and make a base.

Or maybe I'm getting too excited *HiK* ....

Aren't pirates a famously untrustworthy lot? I can foresee your guild descending into bitter infighting and murder as you all try to steal gold off each other.:D

I thought the Articles of Agreement only applied to individual ships, not pirates as a whole?

There were certain rules for pirated working onboard a ship.

Well in the end we can call ourselves bucaneers and get a pay-check from the Royal Navy to plunder enemy ships :D

I'd be delighted to share your rum.:D As for a guild, are there that many pirates here? I haven't seen too many around, unless they're undercover waiting to strike!

Hah, the Royal Navy were the biggest pirates going. They also had a nasty habit of selling out their privateers whenever it was convenient. You can't trust the English!:D

Captain Morgan's Old Spiced is my favourite drink - well one of them. They have it at the pubs I go to too which is a bonus.

There aren't a great many of us pirates round these parts but that's good it means more booty fer the rest o' us. But I'm sure we could press gang s few scurvy dogs to serve aboard ship.
