I had recently taken some pics of my Blood Angel's army for another forum, so I thought I might aswell post them on here. I've taken pics of nearly the whole army, except for some odd non-painted or made models (which is not very many).

    THREAD REVIVAL!

come on people post yuor pics:

Okay this is my finished stuff, which is some drones, firewarriors, a couple of crisis suits and some pathfinders.

some of the drones are poorly painted but no one is likely to care, the pathfinders were rushed but dont look half bad for it, and I'm happy with how the crisis suits turned out expect for that one i shaped marking on the commander, but screw it!

Yea those metals one's are my Death Company who I got back in the day when glueing metal models was still a fokin pain. They had gone unpainted and unglued for several years lawl

Tbh I have a lot more unpainted stuff. Plus, you don't need all painted now with the WYSIWYG rules :p

But yea, fear the Baal Predator, twin linked assualt cannon? GG no re

Nids look fun to paint. But I doubt I could get them to look good. Textures is not a strong point :p

yeah, cant work with cloth or such, tau have a lot of nice straight edges and i go overboard on the highlights, so it works.

My best painted model is a techmarine. I spent ages on it lawl. It has a bit of paint missing at the back, but that's not very noticeable. It's the only one that looks decent lol

The only model I regret doing a bad paint job of is my Chapter Master. God his gold armour looks so tacky when I do it. Not to mentionhis power axe is broken and lost the head somewhere :S

I really take good care of them, some bastard happened to break it :(

He's supposed to look like this:

i remember I had himback in the day, painted him 3 colours, so you cant do as bad as me.

i think the trick on making the gold look not-tack is using non-metalic colours to make gold.

Alright, just finished off my third and final crisis suit last night and here are all three. Look nicer because theyre big enough for me to not bodge the details:

Commander, first finished, not bad in my book, just the i shaped mark on the breast I regret because I dont want to redo all the highlights to get rid of it. Otherwise fine.

Turned out to be my MVP in the only game I played (and lost) the big gun is good for annoying the crap out of anyone and dealing a lot of damage against tight squads wiht good rolls.

Second one finished, turned out not too shabby, getting better, missed one colour tone on the shin but you can't see it much, got better at the grey highlights.

He was in the same game but didnt land many hits because of the range on the fusion blaster, though he's meant for anti-vehicle and perhaps deep striking neither of which were used much in the game.

Last but not least, this guy! finished him last night, getting a little better on the highlights so the detail is better here, more of the purple sections on this one, doesnt look half bad, when i was mixing the pot I wanted something more red like the standard colour used, this one is a little more original, toned down purple, so it doesnt overpower the ocre/yellow.

a few hours in total, maybe 3-5, longer in real time as I paint in front of the Tv or computer so I get distracted a lot.

Painting metal, without using the metal colour paints is really difficult to do, but also look really good if it works. I've had a go a few times, sometimes rubbish and sometimes not so bad. You think it should be easier than it is, but once you start you realise it ain't, lol.

I tried to paint some Grey Knight's using non-metalic's, but the first one looked so bad I started again and just used silver paints! The blending and highlights have to be so accurate.

Still practice makes perfect and all that yeah
