Finally I dropped the pen and here's the finished piece.
I'll upload the picture as it will look on the cover once I got that.

Great work! You've captured it perfectly!

Oooo, I remember it when it were only a wee drawing… :)

    Thank you!
It feels good being done with that one. Onto new projects! :)
Here's a nude woman work in progress. Kinda fun to play around with subtle colors and values.

Nice little set up you have there!

You don't work on a slant table?
I ask because I've never worked on a slant table or painter's easel, I can only draw and paint when I'm directly over my work. I think it comes from the fact that I have poor eyesight and I practically have my nose touching the illustration board.:)

    btw, awesome work as usual!

I've got an illustration of Emelie in a middle earth type scene and I'll have to post it sometime soon.

    Very nice Per!
I admit to having a chuckle over the contents of the shelf though. No work-space should be without easy access to snacks!

    Thanks, Sparrow!
I have a slant-able board that I often use when sketching. It's a relatively new thing for me and it is comfortable to have the paper at some angle so I won't have to lurch over it. I'm also used to sitting quite close :)
The paintings are mounted on that small board in the pictures. I have a big easel at home which I've used when painting, but I would at this moment rather have a simple kind of armchair at this place.

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to seeing your illustration!

Haha, are you referring to my gingerbread cookies there? :D
Also, very important, a percolator! Thanks!

I found myself lurking around here more and more so I decided to post some more images that I've been up between before and now. :)

I don't think I've ever had this long a thread. So I'll make it a bit longer.
Portrait in oil. 25x35 cm or something in that order. Have a good one and thanks for looking!

Per, you never cease to amaze! :D So many different styles, but always your own :) I do like that pyramid one and the details in the eyes and lips of the portrait too

    Hey Druid!
Thank you! I guess the many styles comes from me often not knowing how to approach the painting, haha!
    How are things with you?

Here's an attempt at Bronn I did yesterday. Have a good one!

That is such a cool picture of Bronn! :D The startled look is perfect! ;)
Things are going well, although there is a long and (hopefully not too) boring summer ahead
