The books are awesome, I hope they will continue to produce them. Fluff isn't just something to give the models a bit of fleshing to make the game a bit more exciting, it's to immerse you into a totally different world. It's more than just the models and the tabletop game.

Yes, but I just think GW goes a bit overboard with it...I can't even go in a bookshop without seeing Warhammer books all over the place.

Overboard? They're good books. Nothing wrong with it. GW are not a company that focuses solely on model making. That's not who they are.

Heh, I would argue strongly that the majority are not good books. They do have some good writers working for them, but they also employ an awful lot of hacks. Sell them in GW stores, sure, but keep them out of proper bookshops.

Well then I've been lucky. The series I've picked up so far have been really great.

I haven't read any 40k books so they might be better. But the Warhammer books I've read have been very poorly written, apart from a couple of exceptions...

I have to agree, the 40k books tend to be far, far better than the WF ones, maybe because Abnett almost solely writes 40k. Notable WF books are the early Felix and Gotrek (before it turned into a cash cow) and the White Wolves.

They are called Deffkoptas, unsure of the spelling but something along those lines.

The Sweden staff is ok, rarely tries to push something on you if you say no the first time. If you're not quite sure what to get though, they are happy to help you out.

I was going with the Third Reich but now that you mention it...it is a bit "same brick different name".

Bad books deserve to be burned, along with their authors, readers, and publishers...
