no, not a katana, a katana has a curved blade, and is only single sided, I am not sure the exact term for a ninja sword, but I am sure it has one.

A note, a Samurai Katana is what Morpheus "used" (or tried to use) in Matrix Reloaded.

yeh those are tough swords squall, i broke on of them several years back......... the ONLY sword i have ever broken. broke midways of the blade.
I took the thing all apart the the tang was thinner than a chopstick.
i was rather impressed with how long it lasted, i did some HEAVY cutting with it. im talking about trees here!

Well, I wouldn't risk cutting balsa wood with mine. It is Pakistan made. I got it just because of its looks, and so I can display it and show it off to all my friends.

That's a good question. They don't look like eithe to me. They lean towards ninja swords and it says they are so i guess they are. I don't believe ninjas carried 3 swords, maybe 2 but not 3.

yeah, but it is a nice set, and theyre pretty decent, theyre sharp and have a full-tang (duh) and the blade is made of 440 stainless steel, I think.

It makes a good display piece by my window.

I have a boken (sp) which is basically a wooden one. Don't laugh! You could do a lot of damage with it! It's katana length, basically, and it's good enough for someone broke like me... for now.

What do you think of the sword in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?
