    Ok all,

I ordered myself a Atrim Leaf Blade. pretty expensive, but its worth it. Now I have two swords to wait for to come in, Anduril, leaf. Its worth the wait for the two beutiful swords. Whats the longest you all have waited for you sword that you ordered to come in?(not lotr, I mean functional, and/or custom)

Well, the wait hasn't been to long yet for my Redeemer, but I don't expect it to be anywhere near as long as the six months I waited for the Shards of Narsil to come in....

Some three months in all, not too long.
But I've got a good 9 months to go for my odinsword
to come in. Did ya all know that, with some smiths, there are waiting times stretching for over 4 years?

I ordered an Albion Riding Sword from Christian Fletcher, with a custom scabbard, one month ago. He quoted me 10-12 weeks, but I read a review on MyArmoury.com for an Angus Trim sword ordered from him that took almost a year to arrive. I don't know if the delay was from ATrim, or CFletcher, but I'm hoping I don't have to wait that long. Christian Fletcher's stuff is so incredible, it will be worth it anyway. I envy you, Skyanide, for the Redeemer you are getting. That is an awesome sword. Did you also order the scabbard? It is an incredible piece of work.

Yes, the scabbard and the belt.

As for the wait, I think it also has to do with the lead time it takes to get the blades from Angus.

Not long yet, the 20th of October. I got an email on November 19th that the blade was complete and shipping from Angus Trim.

Yeah, the time between PAYING and GETTING.

Actually, he had said it takes about 6-8 weeks to dress. Since I wasn't really expecting it until March, this is soon for me...

yeah, I got about 9 months for my Lundemo blade. Back in October when I first asked him about it he was eager to make a Boromir style sword, and he says if he hits a slow period he might get started on mine earlier, so maybe 5 months or so if I'm lucky.

"Sometime in 2004" seems to mean, "Hey! We'll get to it when we can!" I don't blame them, it's not like producing thousands of swords is a small undertaking.

My next UC I am looking forward to is Herugrim. I really want that one. I hope they use real bronze for the fittings.

My Lundemo is coming in in about 8 months from now.
the swords I was referring to were a Jake Powning piece
(my version of Felagund's sword, got the snake badge of Finarfin
handcarved into the hilt) and a sword from Cervenka.

Did you know there's actually a small chance that UC will produce
Boromir's sword to be functional ?

Saying that saying it's a very very small chance is an understatement doesn't even begin to show how a "very very small chance" isn't anywhere near the likely probability they actually will.

    Wow. :D
