Awww. No you didn't. *hugs*
Ok, I got my profile up. Hopefully I can post tomorrow.
Cru, your idea sounds good...give me a day or two to change Siobhann's bio, and then I'll try to put a post up.
Good god, sorry it took me so long to reply, but I had two power outages on the same day (yesterday). Both at the time when I'm on the internet... And then I had to study for a chemistry test…
Your call, but if you decide to have several characters (like one outlaw, one evil, etc.), that’s fine too.
Yeah, I read that book, but it was ok, didn't bother reading the next book. While the name influenced me, I already had gods like that developed in my own story. I just threw in the names and basic concept of what they’re god of into this RPG.
Lol, here goes yet another round of question-answering… And screw the quotes, they take up too much time to look up when I have dial-up, especially when another page got added to OOC thoughts in one day! So looks like you have to read through the rest of this post to get questions answered…
Dragons-Blessed and Blessed are exactly the same; however, most people know them by the name of the Blessed. The whole deal to why it became known as the Dragons-Blessed is a mystery at the moment, and if anyone’s character wants to find out, go for it! Here are some options (but feel free to create your own):
1) The person who “started” the order was influenced by subtle magic from the Five Dragons.
2) He/she had a dream and decided to name it after his dream.
3) He/she liked the legend of dragons.
4) He/she was drunk .
While the Order was originally created by the Five Dragons, after they recruited several members, they kind of faded into the background and let the other Blessed recruit. Around that time, other gods began to take an interest (such as Dalin the Tamer, Dhelian the Huntress, Soratha the Weaver, etc.) and claimed the Order as their own.
Normal dragons follow the Five Dragons, who are actually immortal but not invincible. Actually, the normal dragons have a fair amount of power themselves, and the Five are the most powerful. All dragons, while they might not be priests/priestesses, have a very close relationship to the Five Dragons, and often ask them for advice. Pretty much, there are “follower dragons” and the Five Dragons; the Five are the most powerful although their followers are powerful as well, especially when their gods aid them.
Dates: It gave me something to do in history today, and strictly speaking, it WAS history… just not quite European…
OK, here goes:
978: Creation of the Star Gate/Well of Stars
979: the Gods walk through the Well and into Liandrah
979-1024: the Gods begin to gather followers, and Cy’dath and Ki’dasva begin experimenting with darker forms of magic
1024-1063: Somewhere in this period of time, Cy’dath and Ki’dasva discovered the Void and were corrupted.
1097: Demons walk through for the first time
1301(spring): Kynon, Yanae, and Liliana attempt their magic, and the Star Gate starts to wander around the land
1301(winter): Creation of the Sentinels of the Stars
1373: Creation of the Blessed.
1429: present day
By the way, if anyone wants to create his/her own god(ess), it’ll probably end up getting added. I just wrote that a bunch of gods came through the Well of Stars, so if anyone wants to add to the six gods and five dragon-gods I already have, have fun.
As for maps, I can’t do it. I don’t have a scanner, and have no access to one. Anyone can make it, really, because as of this moment, there are only a few thingies in place: Starhaven, West Point, and not much else, since the Well of Stars isn’t exactly stationary.
Hope that cleared up some more questions…
I didn’t have much time to develop races yet, as I was helping my brother with a research project, but give me Friday and Saturday (by USA, GMT-7 time), it ought to come along.
I know what you mean, i just had a major sociology coursework piece ive been doing all week so ive been quite busy.
and sorcha, my infrequent posting refers to the RPG section only, particulary RPG 5 coz HAeruc is boring.
*Grumble* Someone post, this RPG has depth interesting and all we've had is a short conversation in and inn and a robbery, lets keep it moving.
And who's fault is that?
I personally like choice #4. hehe
*sigh* Off to work now. I don't wanna go.
Hehe, I know
grumble okay heregoes.
AS of 1:57 AM GMT I am formally issuing an ultimatum regarding this PRG. One person must make a post by SUNDAY AFTERNOON, or i will be forced to do it for them, and due to my consecutive positng, i am giving myself persmision to make any other character i choose look silly (e.g. giving both LDH and EMT's characters a kicking). This RPG has a lot of potential and im not letting it go downhill this soon, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....thank you.
Oooh, i think he means it, you'd better do what he says.
You'll get your post But I have to wait for the proper time to introduce my character anywyay....writing the profile now
Nice character Nik.
That Obsidian Dagger should come in handy if we happen to meet up with the Others...
For some reason, I thought that'd appeal to everyone.
Anyways... Crusader, I'll post if no one does, but Sorcha's creating a character, EMT should reply too , and Senekha and Nik just created a character. CALM DOWN.
Hey, my character needed something to go stabby, stabby with. Since clerics in some D&D type things are forbidden steal weapons, that's the next best thing. lol
Is Crusader happy now?
He better be happy, we just got two new posts
Lol, good... I'll run along and check it out, and he'll prolly end up with three.
Haha, all he wanted was a simple post, but instead he gets beat upside the head with a big wooden stick. That'll teach him to try and move things along, aye.
I've been wanting to do that in just about every RPG. This time I got a chance. :balrog:
Lol, poor Cru.
I haven't posted yet, due to the enormous lag (I have a dial-up connection and I'm downloading some music right now) on my computer, but how about we take some money from him?
I've always wanted to do that. Just kidding.
ok, now Crusader has a bit to read. Maybe Cheerful Jak will regain conciousness. (maybe not....)
Nice posts, everyone.Crusader now has 4 posts to read (unless we post yet again? )
I'm starting to feel really young character-wise. Besides the humans, everyone's at least 500 years old, and poor Sharana's only 103...
