Alright... basically I wanna know, do you think they can work? Do you even think it's possible for someone to meet a person they've never met met face-to-face? All opinions welcome!!

It all depends on the honesty. I think you can set up the ground work for a relationship on-line, although I think it's foolish to think you can actually HAVE the relationship on-line.

Back to the original question... in my line of work, jewelry, I have met several couples who met online and they are celebrating 3 and 5 and 10 year anniversaries. However, Adina is right, ground work for the relationship can be done online, but then you have to see if you are actually compatible in person, can you really love and cherish all their little quirks and bad habits? Just something to consider, but it can work!

I agree..I know some people who it has worked out great for...and others not so well. I'm pretty skeptical myself though...

Yep, and it's true, it depends on the honesty, it depends on the difference on the online person and the person behind it, and since I think me and Padmé were very honest and not different online our relationship became succesful.

I think only a minority of people could actually make it work. Online relationships lack the warmth of normal relationships.

theres not tomuch actual feeling you may think the picture is atractive and the persons words are smart but that doesn't mean it's them.

I think you can meet online and then have a relationship as long as you meet each other or eventually go and live near each other but I don't think relationships that are based entirely online, as in haven't met in real life, never spoken on the phone and live thousands of miles away from each other ever work.

Yeah, if Sin and I had never atleast spoken on the phone, there wouldnt have been a connection as quickly, but after about a month of knowing eachother online, we were calling eachother all the time, practically every day from Scotland to Belgium. And then after only 2 months, we were planning me coming to Belgium

And now you're kinda living with him and so it works that way but if you just had a relationship online without any other form of contact it wouldn't really be a relationship. I don't think yours and sins relationship is an online one, you just met online.

Thats true, for a year it was online. But it wasnt like a full blown relationship, but we knew it would turn out that way once we met. And yeah, now I live here with him and have done for 8 months now
