awa i feel way behind times - i only saw the first LotR, are the next ones as good?
thanks...who wants to tell me what they;re about...?
IT HAS COME
IT WAS AWESOME
it was sooooooooo good, every single part, and SHELOB!!!!!!! frikkin scary as hell, the trailer made her look just like a scaled up tarantula, but in the film she was really evil looking!!! And the witching looked just like evil embodied. And the scene with the beakon lighting. AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..................brain imploding.. gnn!
Can anyone please tell me if we get to see Cirdan? other elves we haven't seen before?
sorry no Cirdan...you see some random nameless evles in a few other scenes though...
We see some elves, some we dont know, soem we do, the ones we dont know already are just elves that arent main characters. I dont think cirdan was in it, there was just galadriel, celeborn elrond and gandalf + hobbits at the grey havens.
I have to see it again soon. And it was good seeing the legolas/gimli counting game contiue:
"That still only counts as one!!"
No Cirdan ? *swallows* oh well.........
Theres a randon nameless elf that has one line, is that enough?
Incredible, amazing, wonderful. I can't think of enough adjectives to describe it. Personally, I thought it was too short. Was it just me or did it seem like the shortest movie of the 3?
The only thing that marred the experience somewhat was this lady sitting next to me coughing up a storm. Very rude and annoying I thought.
However. It was sooooooo great! Although there were many scenes that were missing that I'd wanted to see.
I saw the trilogy and it was amazing. I've never been with that great of a crowd before. And the two extended editions on the big screen were completely worth it alone. ROTK kicked serious butt. I can't wait to see the director's cut of that too. And yes, my eyes were getting a little teary at the end. BUT WOW, simply an amazing conclusion to the trilogy!
Cirdan was standing behind Mr & Mrs Galadriel at the havens. Another nice touch was Gandalf wearing Narya at the very end. And then there was the VERY old Bilbo making a reappearance!
I've run out of superlatives to describe this movie. It's nothing less than a masterpiece of film making. It'll be a long, long time til anything comes close to being this good.
Well, maybe the extended edition.....
I know. I can't take it all in yet. Even though I knew what was going to happen I was nervous and excited, especially right before they throw the Ring in I was thinking "hurry up". I could feel the urgency. It was awesome.
And for a while there I got so caught up in the story I forgot to think about what they were cutting out or changing. And do we all agree: Please give Elijah Wood and Sean Astin Oscars. They were phenomenal.
Oh, the old Bilbo was great! I wasn't expecting him to look that old. It didn't even look like Ian Holm.
All in all, I think it stayed fairly close to the book.
Me too. It wasn't that they changed much, just that they left stuff out.
What about the eowyn faramir thing? did that happen?
please say yes.
No but you do see them together clapping
It was sorta dissapointing that you didnt see Saurman get killed, in fact, I think it sucks that Christopher Lee didnt make any apperance in the whole movie. I cant wait for the EE, I sure hope they play all 3 EE in the theater in a row, Ill take off work to see all of that on the big screen!
I just got back, it is great, even though it was not like the books it was great.
