    So Youtube decided to be a little Bit** and remove 80% of their music due to copyright laws. This has inevitably pissed me off because Youtube is sadly my #1 source of music.

    My dear Kel...

    YouTube music sucks like a vacuum cleaner. I really don't get it, or what they are talking about. That 70's telephone sound they produce can hardly be called music at all!

    In that sense, I really don't get what the Music Industry is so wild about; it might be the fact that the videos can still be somehow decyphered.

    true but remember people that youtube is big and well known and is clearly under pressure to remove copywrite content.

    as for listening or watching stuff - the only times I do on the tube are to see if something someone has suggested is any good - like DVDs I might watch the first epiode of something - then go out and get the proper verion if it is any good.

    Limewire = Fail.
    DC++ = Fail
    Bearshare = Extra Fail

    Torrents are the only way to go. Man up and learn how to use it. (Please don't exploit it for illegal activity <_<)

    If you want to check out a song you are interested in then I suggest Grooveshark.com. The website allows you to listen to full songs for free.

    Not to split hairs, but getting music from a torrent is just as illegal as getting it from any other p2p. If you didnt buy the music, it is against the law to download it....

    Right on... just type in a song or band and an entire station of similar sounding bands is made for you. Pretty sick stuff

    Yeah but torrents are waaay better than limewire and all that other bs... less bugs and issues. Plus instead of downloading a song or two, why not an entire discography instead?

    problem seem sto have fixed itself. nvm. and im way too lazy to DL music. rather listen. Also there are things on youtube that you can't DL. Like theres this one live performance of Valhalla by Blind Guardian that is 20 times better than the recorded version. Also, I like the videos sometimes.

    Youtube is so easy though.

    Sure limewire and all those other programs work, but you have to download them. Youtube is alot easier.

    Yes and then you realise youtube = failure quality.

    Not to mention you;ll need constant internet access to view it. Plus loading the file to listen would take just as long to download.

    oh... just went back and re-read. I don't know what I was thinking but i hope it was of a different post. That would be the answer with the least implication of idiocy. :ufo:

    Most of my friends get their music from megaupload... say I was looking for the new death cab album... all I do is type this into google:

    "Death Cab For Cutie Narrow Stairs megaupload"

    And bam, you'll find it easily.
