Anyone remember games like Talisman, Space Crusade, Space Hulk, Hero Quest, Warhammer Quest, Space Marine, Blood Bowl, Mordheim etc? I was just going through my cupbords and found the old 80's version of Talisman, warhammer quest and mordheim. Anyone still play them? I was thinking of cracking them out one time. Also I've heard that they are making a Talisman PC game.

I play Blood Bowl apart from 40k. But there are lots of peeps playing Mordheim too. Not to sure aobout the PC game of Talisman though, GW re-realesed it a year or two back but thats the final thing I heard (they are however making a Blood Bowl game for xbox 360, ps3 and PC)

I used to play Warhammer Quest before my life got a wee bit hectic and I couldn't go down to GW to play at night. Also one of the staff members acting as DM left so we lost that. Some players had set up a WHQ event amongst themselves but eventually I lost touch.

It's a shame really, it was such an awesome game. I still have my Brettonian ready to kick some ass.

If you liked man o war (and space hulk, but thats a while off) then while GW may have let you down there are other options, check out spartan games.co.uk

It was although one of the more expensive games as you had to keep buying miniatures of higher and higher level monsters.

I'm thinking of getting in touch with my old Games Workshop mates and having a ye old Mordheim night. I've got awsome warbands of Skaven, Humans, Undead, Orcs and Possessed. Should be fun.

Yea but it was also one of the most fun games. Plus you didn't always have to buy new models, you could just use old one's to represent if you were lacking money :p

I guess, although it kinda sucks when you use a giant rat to represent a bloodthirster :p

I've still got the Quest floating around somewhere, I'll probably find the rest of it when I box up all the clutter in the spare room. I remember the Pit fighter was a pretty cool character.

We should start up a warhammer quest RP here at TFF.

I used to love Warhammer Quest!!! i only got the chance to play a few times however!

I was always more into the single character or gang based games like necromunda* rather than the big army style ones.... something to do with the cost of miniatures perhaps!!!

*remembers the glory days and sheds a dwafy tear.

Warhammer Quest was the mutts nuts, lol. If you could get a good group of people together it was a lot of fun. Plus you never had to be too serious with it. I remember some really funny things in the games I played that were'nt really allowed but made for great comedy moments.

Space Hulk was fun too, and quite quick and easy to play.

Talisman was a cool game; unfortunately the new edition doesnt quite capture the magic of the original:(

Blood Bowl rocked. My Chaos team were pretty rubbish at catching but by half-time there was rarely more than half of the other team left operational. Played a tournament once, got to the semis and won the 'Most Opposing Players Killed' award (averaging more than 2 per match).

My friends and I run a Bloodbowl League in Melbourne, although we've been playing Necromunda recently.

I still play Mordheim with my mates when we can't be bothered with a mass brawl. It's still one of my favourite GW games. Pity it died on its arse.

Mordheim is gold! Had more fun with that game than any other GW game. I've still got my warbands in a display case :D

It's the only Games Workshop game I love. A friend of mine has a 6' by 8' table in his attic which is set up with all the scenery. Many happy, drunken nights have been spent up there.:D

good times. It's been a while since I played now. I used to like to make my own scenery. Looks way cooler than those cardboard cutouts :p
