Great song about my favourite Greek monster
Classical fantasy, heavy metal style by Savatage...
... and Queen, during their heavier days doing March of the Black Queen (live)...
What are you guys doing? Just posting videos of metal music?
yea why not.
Thanks for this thread. Brings back memories of my parents smashing vinyl metal albums (after I had apparently gone to sleep as a kid) haha.. you old farts! Good stuff.
ahhhhhh yes... you young people with all your holograms and hippity-hop music and fancy gadgets... in my day we had vinyl records, turntables, tape cassettes, and speakers you had to lift with both hands! I still have some old vinyl records, but nothing to play them on! Best ever was the Jazz album that Queen released in 1978... it had a foldout poster of naked women on bicycles lining up for a big race. It was to promote their Fat Bottomed Girls and Bicycle Race songs... I taped it to my bedroom door, though my mom made me remove it to the inside of the door.
I bet you young people don't get posters with your music!
I listen to metal! I have plenty of posters! :O
I have lots of posters, sadly not enough wall space.
well... with me it was different... I had only two original vinyls: Among the Living by Anthrax and some kind of double LP by Scorpions (kinda like best of or something)... so most of my stuff was cassettes... pirated of course ... (screw USSR )...
Posters... we had some replicas (can you believe that? )... I also had some from "Metal Hammer" magazine... but that was expensive black market shit...
Things got better in early 90-ies... CDs started and I got my first Cd player in 1992 (very early 'cause my dad was rich )... then I started buying some original stuff, still mostly focusing on Metallica, Megadeth or Sodom ... damn stuff was so expensive! CD was worth 15 USD... which was 60% of the money my dad gave me for a month (in comparison a bottle of beer was worth 6 US cents... )...
Actually my first original (not made in Poland ) T-shirt came with the "Youthanasia" CD
Cassettes were my fellas up to MP3 times had like 140 of them
and here's me in 90-ies ( I hope here I don' t still look cuter than Sparrow's GF? )
