Idk what everyone is complaining about, I'm buying up stocks left and right. Either the economic system collapses permanently or I get rich. Either way I win.

Oil! With COVID happening no one is traveling and fossil fuel consumption is limited due to economic slowdown. On top of that, Saudi Arabia and Russia are playing a game of chicken to see who can pump the most for longest, OPEC+ be dammed.

Prices are sitting around 20 $ per barrel (DPB)? Somewhere around there, I'd have to check. If it gets down into the teens, it actually becomes cheaper to pay customers to buy than to store so the effective price drops into the negatives as far as oil producers are concerned. OPEC likes DPB to sit around 60, so assuming that all oil producing countries don't go the way of Australia during Mad Max in the near future, buying at ~20 DPB and waiting for 40 or even 60 DPB has obvious benefits.

My brother is betting on the travel & tourism industry, another good bet in my opinion, though potentially a longer term investment assuming that the global middle class doesn't take some time to recover and get back around to "discovering themselves" or whatever in Thailand. Cruise companies, airlines, travel companies, hotels are all getting rocked right now - though I'm not sure how the stimulus is going to effect that - and, again, assuming that tourism and global travel don't just cease to be a thing forever, you'll eventually get a good return I think.

Yep, I’m already waiting so long for the next Mad Max film and the only news I heard is that they’re casting someone else for a Furiosa prequel. I want a new Mad Max film dagnamit!

Tusken society was created by technologically advanced Mad Max mega-fans who went back in time and tried to turn Tattooine into a Mad-Max style planet.

I've only seen 1 Mel Gibson Mad Max, Road Warrior. Should I bother seeing the others?

Mad Max 1 is okay, but not what George Miller wanted. He accomplished that with Road Warrior. I would say give Thunderdome a chance. It has its ups and downs. Certainly not as good as Road Warrior and Fury Road.

I love the first one. Actually watched it again (for the 9000 bazillion time) on Friday night at a mates house.
Second one is the bomb though. And as Anakin said, number three is worth giving a chance.
Fury Road is not quite for me, but I am an old skool Rockatansky fan.
Last year they had the 40th anniversary celebration of the first movie, close to where it was filmed (about 4 hours from where I live).
Wished I had gone, they had all of the original (still living) cast except Mel Gibson. They re enacted the MFP car crashing through the caravan and a few other things. A lot of the original cars (or very close replicas) were there.

I once went to this big event, similar to comic-con, where they had all these cars of big franchises and the Interceptor was one of the cars they had on display, among the Delorean, Batmobile of the TV series (would have preferred to have seen the one from the ‘89 film) Kitt and such. Was really great. I think the Interceptor was the real deal, though the Delorean certainly wasn’t. Universal is very protective over it.

Just recently rewatched Fury Road. It was better the second time, honestly.
