Does the Night's Watch have their own crest/heraldry? Anyone know?
I don't believe so - I just checked through the Westeros Concordance and there's nothing there either.
I don't think so. If they did, I imagine it'd be totally black. Maybe with a crow on it.
In their oath they say they give up their houses. I was just thinking there has to be some sort of a design to put on flags when they battle.
I would think they'd use the crest of their King. Since technically they would be aiding his house, right?
i agree with you. the flag is probably a big piece of black cloth, or something. but still, they don't go to any battles, and when they fight the Others or the savages, they need no flag, because they are easily noticable.
but i also don't think they use crest of their own king, because they say they serve no kingdom (i guess) and no house, and that they leave their past lives behind them. or something like that, i know not exact words.
They wear all, black, from the books. And didn't Yoren have an all-black banner? I recall no mention of any symbol-- 'crows' was just the wildling's nickname for them.
I don't recall a crest
they were called that way because they were all black all the time.
