I agree. So let me be funny too. ;) Aramir, about the fords of buinen. If I'm not mistaken didn't they find all nine horses and only eight of the Nazgul cloaks? I also think that in the chapter "The Ring Goes South" Frodo feels the fear of the witchking pass over him. He then mentions it to Gandalf and he tells him not to talk about it.

By the way, the sword does look interesting. It's hard to say if he'll have it in the movie. I'll be playing him in the game soon so I'll tell you then.

I haven't bought the game yet, for fear that it would ruin the movie for me. I think I will have to wait.

I always wondered, since the witchking was a sorceror, why didn't he ever use any magic? It would be awsome to see him call down lightning on the men of Gondor.

Anduril the reminder about the eight horses has got my brain churning, thanks for that :p if i remember right though it doesnt specifiy if it is the witchking that passes over the moon

As for sorcery, i know he commands frodo at the fords, and he also uses a bit at the gates of minas tirith, if you can call that sorcery?

in the case of the battle of the pelennor fields I guess it's because he never really needed to use any sorcery.( or so he thought).
at the siege of Gondor everything was going well for him, his mere presence did most of the work(as usual), until the Rohirrim showed up.
Aramir is right in that he kinda used sorcery to let flames run down his blade.
I bet he didn't ever think that he needed his magic to defeat Eowyn.
I think he was right about that, by the way. The reason he lost the fight was, in my opinion, purely due to the fact that pippin sneaked up on him from behind.

    SPOILERS!!!

I just finished The Return of the King game and I got to see the battle of Eowyn and the witchking.

Picture Sauron: Now add about twice as many spikes on his helm. Now picture his mace in his left hand and a sword in his right. It was difficult to find some screenshots since EA and New Line are so secretive about it.

    *Spoilers*

No. In the game you shoot it down as Aragorn, Legolas, or Gimli. And the helm doesn't look anything like the helm in the pictures. But Eowyn does give her "You look upon a woman" line.

After that Aragorn sees three Mumakil coming straight toward them. Next, you see the army of the dead come and destroy them and go down into the orc army. I know that is contrary to the books but I think in the GBA version of the game they fight with Aragorn to get the black fleet. Boy, I wish I knew how to take screenshots. :balrog:

You're right. It doesn't. But I think he says it reminded him of the nazgul.

We're getting off-topic. I have a thread in the General Gaming Forum. I'll post the answer to your question there.

Yes, I believe so. What exactly happened is not known but it is a fact that Earnur was tricked into riding to minas Morgul and taken prisoner there by orders of the witch-king. obviously, he didn't survive to tell the tale.
