So its hit me that we don't have enough reading going on - and more to the point not enough book chatter. ;)

Thus its time for a new and simple initiative!

Read One a Month and Pass it on - works simply. You pick a book, any book you want to - read it within 4 weeks (ie a month) and then at the end of the month give a summary of the book itself. Your thoughts, if you liked it, loved it, hated it etc... The aim being to keep spoilers to a minimum, but to also give enough info to recommend it to others - maybe even spark up some chatter about the title itself if others have read it and have their own views to share.

It's also open to any kind of book; a specific focus on fantasy would be ideal, but its really open to any book of your choosing (a bit of diversity is always healthy).

So are you willing to sign up and take part? To read a book during the month of August and recommend it at the end?

Also note - nothing says you can't read more than one book of course :)

    Sign me up!

I will finish reading Abarat: Absolute Midnight by week's end and give a book report on it, sans spoilers.

As a teaser... I am thus far very disappointed with a book some of us Abarat fans have been waiting for well over five years. I'm just about ready to swear myself off of anymore long running fantasy series.

    I'm in too!

Well; I'll be finishing the ASoIaF series, so I'll be writing about that.
