So, the hashtag #NationalVideoGamesDay is trending on Twitter. Apparently that is a thing. How are we supposed to celebrate on this day? What game is everyone else playing?

For me, every day is video games day. :D Wasn't playing anything yesterday, but I celebrated today by playing some Doom on ultra high graphics settings.

The way of celebrating a Videogames Day would be to play something classic, in my opinion. Classic Doom or some game based on the ID 1 engine, for example. Angband or Nethack if you are into old school dungeon crawling. You get the idea.

And yes, people still plays those ASCII roguelikes. The #angband channel at Freenode still has active chatters.

If you really go mad you can even go and play a MUD such as New Worlds of Ateraan using telnet. So much fun!

ok classic.. original doom is great, or wolfenstein 3d! haha. Had that on my 286 comp back in the day. However we should all get a game we can play together now, on steam.

I am not too fond of steam. I get why so many people likes it, but it makes me feel that the games are too dependent on the distribution platform.

Nowadays I do mainly retrogamming. Source Ports, emulators and similar stuff for the win!

I don't feel guilty for notplaying videogames today, I've had my share the last couple of days, being "tied to home" (not tied to bed really, but I do feel miserable) since I had all of my wisdom teeth removed:confused:

I normally like anything Uncharted, Bioshock and AC, just to name some of my favorites. Currently I'm not playing anything so...if anyone has any good suggestions: shoot!
