another interesting creature is the naga which is very fasinating to me. it has the lower torso of a snake, and a upper body or sometimes just the head of a human.

Naga? Never heard of it, but it sounds interesting (I have a thing for snakes in various forms :D )...where does it originate from?

I've always liked the Sphinx - the whole "answer the riddle correctly or be eaten" appeals to me very much. ;)

The Sphinx is all right; I find the story of Anubis more intriguing though. I guess I’ve always been interesting in things pertaining to death.

If that's the case...check out the Nordic Goddess Hel - some pretty cool stories about Her out there...if you're lucky enough to find them that is.

Talking bout mythological creatures, anyone heard of Burglar, grandson of Matica the Sentinel? Probably not. He's a wicked bastard, son of Mrs. Vjeran, the libraryan who was raped by the pack of bullyes. He ate his mother upon birth.

About the Nagas, i thought they came from East India, as well as the Manicore (a nasty lion-like creature who has spikes on the tip of his tail and mane and a huge mouth full of teeth.... it's kool) Alot of kick-A$$ creatures came from Hindu legends!
