Some months back, i sent my stock Angus Trim Leaf blade to Christian Fletcher for one of his Elven hilt upgrades. Well shes finished!! and should be shipping to me soon!!

Here is a pic of my leaf blade (on the right) along side two other Christian fletcher hilted swords, the Redeemer, and the Ranger..

Holy crap, can you say Boromir's broadsword??? Except for lacking a double fuller, the Redeemer is exactly Boromir's! Damn I may have to put my order in for one of those instead of Lundemo's Glamdring-- and I just wrote out the deposit check!!!

Boromirs sword did NOT have a double fuller, but was just extremly hollow ground. Trust me, I have studied it extensivly.
The redeemer differs from boromirs sword in many ways, the large rain guard on the guard for one.........

Yes, the Blue leather leaf blade with black fittings is my precious. I bought the leaf blade sword, from Sword forums Museum store about a year ago, and decided to get Christian to upgrade it just a few months ago. The leaf blade is NOT a limited edition., whereas the ranger was limited to 50, all sold out, and the new Redeemer will be limited to 25. the one pictured is the first one.

I collect swords man............... this is what I do. Actually Christians work combined with Gus' blades are still considered "semi custom" so the prices you see are very reasonable compared to a full out hand made custom sword such as Gwailas or others.

What exactly do you do with all these swords of yours anyways. I'm just wondering. Cutting stuff can only be fun for so long i imagine. Then what?

Very nice swords, but how have United Cutlery not jumped all over the Ranger and the Bormir...I mean, the Redeemer? I'm not sure what "infringing on copyright" entails exactly, but apart from slight colour variations or blade detailing that Joe Average wouldn't notice, it's pretty obvious where the silhouettes come from. And the twisted guard? I personally don't recall seeing one of those before I saw Boromir's sword.

Don't get me wrong, if I had a custom blade made I'd more than likely be using LOTR styling cues for inspiration. But I'm not a company selling them.

Does anyone know the exact boundaires of copyright as they pertain to these much-loved LOTR swords?

there has to be a % difference, i forget the exact amount, but Guys, ANY difference on a sword makes it a different sword.
If you take the ranger sword, Replicate it almost exactly, but change the blade length or fuller length, then you have just created a new sword.........
