All the pieces look so good, they must have cost an arm and a leg to make or have made, I'd love to have that sword.

David, where'd you get your ranger garb? That's so cool, I'd love to have a blade collection like that.

More logical yes, but out in the wilderland it'll be hard to find a barber or a flat stone and a sharp stone so you can lay your hair out on the flat stone and pound on the hair with the sharp stone...

Or you can use your knife.

Oh, alright let me go through the list of where i got the different peices from the garb, each one has a story to go with it pretty much.

First the shirt was bought from By-The-Sword, and online retailer for all things sword related. They sell different brand names of medieval clothing like MRL stuff, but they also have their own line. The shirt i bought is called their "Warrior shirt" . they are only offered in 3 colors but i custom ordered one in "light grey". What i got back is something that is REALLY light grey. hehe, not exactly the color i had in mind, but i have sorta grown to like it. Its not white or any shade of, but is definantly a grey. Some have told me it even has a green tint to it in certain light.

The Pants are the only part that is NOT medieval. They are a pair of draw string linen pants bought from Structure (mens clothing) at the mall. Most mens medieval pants like the ones from MRL are around $40. Heck i dont even pay that much for my Jeans ect that i wear everyday! So i ran accross these pants and they where on sale, i bought some khaki ones just to wear around, then i realised they where really comfortable and allowed alot of movement,. so i had a coupon from my first purchase and i was able to buy these second pair, the black pair for about four dollars! great deal eh?

The boots are the kind that MRL sells, the suede medieval boot. they retail for about $65, but i fellow sword forumite contacted me and told me he had a pair, unused, still in the box, that was MY SIZE, that hed sell me for $50. i put a check in the mail. They are actually really comfortable, sorta like moccassins.

The chain maile shirt i got from swordforumite Jeff Ellis. I think he got it from Ebay for really cheap. its sorta unusual in that its stainless steel (wont rust, dont have to oil it) its only waist length, so its lighter, and its a V neck.

The vest i designed myself and had a local leather worker guy make for me. I got it for a substantially cheaper price than more MRL vests costs and its LONG!

as far as the weapons kit, well lets just say John and I have an understanding. He and i have very similar tastes in swords, so I dont have to do alot of design changes when WE design a sword. we pretty much like the same features.

Holy Crap David, you have outdone yourself! I can't decide which I like best, the twin daggers or the scabbard for Gwailas or what. But it does all come together perfectly. And I agree totally on the dagger-naming-- there must be some sort of stag-related tale in the Silmarillion or something. But the wood on all those grips is just gorgeous. compliments to the designer and the maker!
