I'll be first in line when they make a Museum Ranger sword.
Well, if they come out with a Ranger sword and it costs $750 (street price not retail), I'd really have to consider getting it. Anything less and I will definitely buy it.
We'll wait until we get the hi-res pictures from UC. They said they're really busy on the 2005 catalogue so it might not be until mid-January.
I will patiently wait for the pictures but so excited for this one, been waiting too long for the high end products to be made.
I dont know i still dont like the background in the case but i am sure that it is nothing that a little bit of material could sort out
I've done a little price investigation and I've found an interesting range of prices for the museum collection Sting. It's between 370-700 $ so I hope the museum collection of the "big" swords would go around 400-600 $ as a "normal" price. I'm a Spaniard too, and I can say that getting this swords here is possible, however, you have to afford shipping costs and taxes. And the fact that a blade comes from Toledo doesn't necessary mean that it is the best that a sword can be. I would like to see what exactly they mean about functional sword.
BBB started pre-orders for the MC Sting this week, Chris do you know when CB will start pre-orders? I will be ordering as soon as you do, thanks.
By the end of January to be sure.
We already have our order in with UC to be sure, we just don't like to place things up for presale until we have nice pictures to show you.
Thanks alot Chris, I don't mind at all that you don't take pre-orders earlier because they ship the same time no matter what. Its just very important to me to have info on aproximately when, especially with how much the MC collection will cost and how limited they are. I will be one of the first to order from you.
Not to get off topic, but do you have or know when the 2005 UC catalogue will be available?
So these things are in fact "battle ready" High carbon spring steel? Or is it just another way to get people's money? I for one, will wait for the feed back on these things before I shell out the money. Anyways, I'd rather get the Ranger Sword or Galmdring.
It is advertised as being functional, though I would probably wait untill it is released and reviewed before you buy one
Well, i've heard of people buying functional swords that were shaking in their fittings right out of the box. On top of that, the sword was stainless steel and not carbon. Their definition of "functional" is widly different from what functional really means.
Have you heard anything new on the sting sword? I am waiting for you to post on your site so I can preorder. So many other sites have their pre orders already established, I just wondered when we can expect to be able to preorder from you. :littlethi :littlethi :littlethi :littlethi :littlethi :littlethi
For the answer to that, see this thread...
Museum Collection Sting now for Preorder
Do we know if this museum collection is supposed to fit the scabbards that UC has already made? The specs for Sting are a bit smaller than the normal version, so it seems that it might be too small for the sheath.
Kit Rae tested it and reported that it actually seems to fit better than the UC1264 stainless version.
