Yes, there was one, but they took it out for the DVD. They talk about it on one of the commentaries (I think it's the post-production team) during the scene in FotR.

In the extended TFOTR DVD, look in the music documentary on the fourth disc. This is the scene before the car was digitally taken out.

Ok, just saw the EE DVD... Just before Legolas does his acrobatic mount-the-horse thing, his bow disappears... Completely - As if it was never there. And then it's back when he starts riding.

Ever notice when Faramir is holding sam and frodo in that cellar type place, there are barrels all around them and they are leaning against them, but when faramir walks in the barrels are GONE!!!!!!

Back when aragorn is looking at the hobbit tracks by fangorn we see that his switches sides repeatedly, Sting switches sides when sam is carrying frodo up the mountain.

that's a film trick to get the actors to run the way they want.

Yes- a lot. It's very noticeable as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli search for M&P.
I also noticed that in some production photos things were switched. I wonder if they dressed the actors the wrong way so that they could swap the scene later. I think they did this in one of the Star Wars films, but forgot to flip the scene.

Here's one I noticed the other day: When we first see Aragorn in TTT, he is leaning next to the ground to listen for the orcs' footsteps. Well it looked to me that on his forearm he was wearing this leather thing that had teh White Tree of Gondor on it. Where did he get it? I never noticed him wearing anything like that before...

That's not a mistake. They belonged to Boromir and when he died, Aragorn took them (in the movie, anyway).

In FOTR when boromir is dying and talkingto aragorn, all the shots of boromir's face show his hand on aragorn's sholder, yet all the shots with aragorn's face show that boromir's hand is not there, or aybe it's the other way around i don't remember, all i know is that it is his left sholder.

In fotr when you see Boromir in the boat going down the waterfall it will go to Aragorn putting the arm bracers on.

I believe that when you see the swords flip sides or even the leaf pins at their throats pointing one way and in the next shot it's the other, it's because the shot was filmed on the correct side but then PJ actually wanted the same shot but wanted the actors to be facing the other direction they actually flipped the film and so things were on the 'wrong' side- rather than reshooting the scene.

Almost every single one of those shots where things are switching sides are on purpose. Like when Merry's scar goes obove the other eye, or a sword switches which side it is on. They flip the shot digitally because it may look better the other way. It isn't that they messed up, just that the shot looks better inverted. It has been used in filming forever. Since people are semetrical you only notice the things that are not semetrical when the shot is flipped.
