no reelof bloopers at my theater either.
I looked for that on my last viewing......good catch.
I chuckled to myself.....
Multiple flippings of elven brooches, weapons, and Gimli's eyes.
Sam stabs Shelob and pulls out Sting. The very next shot is him pulling out Sting again.
Heres all I have to say. Watching the movie, I saw no noticale mistakes... but apparently you guys did. Somethings ARE they way they are because they had to cut out so much. When the exteneded eddition comes out on DVD everything will be fine and ok. There was so much that they had cut out that, some things got left out and un-explained. I just finished watching thr Two Towers exteneded and yes, it made it much better and explained much more... so for now. I think we'll have to wait. Being one of the best movies ever created... I dont think that Peter Jackson would have left out some small detail. We'll see
In the scene where Frodo is hanging from the cliff, you can apparently see Frodo's bent finger to show his finger missing.
LOL yah I still laugh when I see his horse. Though by now I'm laughing at everything.
Not really a blooper or anything, but did anyone happen to look at Anduril after he returns to the slag hill from he black gate. If you looked closely enough you could see a section of the blade with blood on it. The tip wasn't bloody so obviously Aragorn didn't stab the Mouth, he simply cuts his head off.
Easiest way to get things done
I don't remember seeing Sam take the ring from Frodo when he was lying, presumed dead, in Shelob's yarn. Yet later Sam gave the ring back to Frodo. Maybe I just missed it.
Also, Liv Tyler apparently wore blue contacts. But in the scene with Elrond where she said, "I'm standin' by my man!" her eyes went grey or brown. I thought at the time it was a cool way of showing she'd chosen mortality. However, when she came to Gondor to wed Aragorn, her eyes were that awesome, ethereal blue again.
cameleon eyes, what's so strange about that? :alien:
Well I was kind of upset that they left out the whole Eowyn-Faramir thing and the houses of healing AND how both hobbits went to battle... AND there was no mouth of sauron! Oh well, the movie over all was still great
This thread is for mistakes and bloopers, not scenes you are disappointed weren't in the theatrical version.
They didn't show Sam taking the ring from Frodo to keep the audience in suspence, thinking the orcs got it, like Frodo did.
Mistakes, bloopers and other little things, so technically missing scenes qualify. The movie seemed to flow well enough despite the missing scenes and minute technical errors.
Yeah that's what I thought too. I probably wouldnt have noticed the missing stuff as well if I hadn't of just finished the book for the 2nd time hehe
I think not showing Sam take the ring from Frodo'd body IS a mistake. The suspense is in the orcs taking Frodo and Sam attempting the rescue.
"They've taken it! Sam, they've taken the ring!" To quote Frodo. That seems pretty suspenseful to people who haven't seen the movie.
i agree with Gud, that scene should have been left out of the movie for the suspense. if the audience knew of the ring being taken then Frodo's reaction would have been useless and the audence would have shouted SAM HAS IT!!! something to that sort.
*sniff, sniff* I smell a never-ending argument coming on. How about we agree to disagree on this point, Daedheloth?
For who ever talked about looseing control of horses as a blooper its not I cant inagine
any number of horses in a charge of any kind and all having perfect war manners! I've done a lot of reenacting as cavalry and someone always has horse problems! I had a frind who used to go into his coral several times a week and fire shots into the air just to get his horse used to the noise.... It never woked!
Its not a blooper but I would think it fits into other little things. Its still something that stuck out.
I can't believe nobody mentioned this one yet: When Frodo is taken by the Orcs, he is lying tied up with only his pants on. They took everything else. So when Sam rescues him they dress up as Orcs and go on. But then as they get closer to Mount Doom, the Orcs clothes are off (which will probably be explained in the EE) and Frodo has his shirt back! Where did he get it?
Also, I saw his eyes move when he's suppossed to be dead. You can see it if you look closely when Sam is hugging him.
