Hey...nice work Met...I just had a question...do you use regular pencils for your drawings? Here is a tip...I find it handy when I'm drawing anyways...but try using graphite pencils...they usually come in a pack and they have differentiated degrees of light and dark from very soft (8B) to an extra hard (6H)...they help to get the varying degrees of shades in your artwork and help to define certain aspects of the drawing and they are easy to erase which will give a smooth lay over in the drawing...just an idea...but overall your work is awesome :)

Appaliq: I had a bad experience once...I have not tried since. But I am thinking of using watercolour pencils...since some1 i saw used them and it turned out quite well.

Dragn9: err...I use one pencil type...and that's any1 I usually find lying on my table lol. When I do a super serious drawing...I'll try and use variation pencils to get good shades...but then I gotta figure out when to use what >_<

but yea...thanks both of you =]

well...I've got another piccy drawn up.

It's of a fighter plane. I just inked using some random black pen, and scanned it in at 400dpi grayscale...so don't mind the random stuff with it...I'll make it normal one day :p

Ok, I've got a "work in progress" one. It's taking rather long because I'm trying to make it all detailed and stuff.

The Character is Dante from Warhammer 40k. His ascended form as it were. Ofc this is not my original work, as I am using a reference.

Nicely done. Alot of people have trouble even working from a reference (why is beyond me) and this looks really good.

    Thanks Dol.

With references, you can find that the dimensions you think you are replacting correctly, and incorrect and vice versa. This is mainly because a partial copy of an area is much different to the finished thing, so it actually looks a lot different. I have a lot of trouble keeping dimensions correct.

Try using a grid and then erasing it once you have the basic lines in. It can be really helpful.

Erm....several months so far. I kinda draw on an off. Plus, I'm so damn picky, so I just rub, redraw, rub, redraw, rub, and it goes on until its perfect or damn close enough >_<

Also I like adding a bit of my own changes, either because I cannot draw the thing I'm copying or it looks better :p
