I'm not sure how much it's mentioned in the legends but Merlin had a large oak in his birthplace of Camarthen in Wales. A poem he supposedly recited once ran thus: When Merlin's oak comes tumbling down, down shall fall Camarthen town. Anyway, when the time came for a new road to be built... they cut it down. It's still in the museum there. In the same year Camarthen was almost totally flooded... Cooincidence? Are we all doomed?
