Does anyone know of any Medievel Re-enactment Groups in the Mid-West? (U.S.)
The SCA is pretty much everywhere. Check out http://www.sca.org/ and then look on the pages under SCA groups for areas of which kingdom covers what areas.
if you don't have an sca group near you, there other other reinactment groups around. I am a member of the sca, but I know i my area there are other ones, thugh I don't know their name. LOL
When you are a member do you have to go to a bunch of the things or just the tournaments and stuff?
I go to the training exercises and the tourneys ("Wars")
the training exercises meet once a week usually
you can read up on it more by going to www.sca.org and then find one that is closest to you and read their homepage for details.
Check out Regia Anglorum North America, RANA. Geforthan Strandi is the main group. We just finished taping a special (Hastings) for The History Channel.
