    I don't think their are to many out their, at least from what I have seen. Its more of a dry area for Tolkien, he didn't provide much about the east...

    Yeah that's a bit of an odity on Tolkien's part, he's usually very exact about where his countries are. I mean sheesh in the Silmarillion he devotes an entire chapter to telling you what all the regions are and where their boundries are. But he kinda leaves everywhere east of Mordor a big blank spot....

    yes but harad is SOUTH of mordor

    As Radaghast said, it was one of the places without much info, only the 'free' or 'good' peoples places were really developed, bar maybe Angband, even Mordor didnt have a great description or mapping. And Harad/South Harad was barely important really...

    hmmmm it sorta looks like africa and i dont recall the grey mountains so close to harad because im not sure the dwarves of the grey mountains had affairs with the haradrim often? did they?
