I ate the sun, and hung up a paper moon,
So dreams would come and I'd be with you soon,
    It's scary, day-to-day not knowing,
How our lives will be going...

Soon, too soon, we're so far apart,
And I am without my own heart,
But here, up here, way above the people down below,
You know where to find me, but only you will know...

And here above all I ever knew and lost,
With a hole in my chest covered in frost,
I await the end, oh the end of it all,
The day the moon comes crashing down and I fall...

But if you ever feel like turning around,
Oh, but if you ever do fall down,
I'll catch you before you hit the ground and lift you high,
Angel, baby, I'll lift you up higher than the stars in the sky...

Watching over you like the man in the moon at night,
Like a guardian angel hanging just out of sight,
Looking towards the future, a new day, but anchored in the past,
I sit here, on my paper moon, waiting to be with you again at last...

I won't go another step, won't walk another mile,
Until I see that beautiful, wonderful smile,
On the face, of the one I love the one I hold dear to me,
Even if my hand cannot grace the face, it's near enough for me...

And then, in the end, no matter what I say or do,
You know, I'll be up here just waiting on you,
Like the man in the moon, look up in the sky,
I'll wait on you, until the day that I die...

Ray, you really should add all your poems and publish them (make a book or smth) worth a shot, in Latvia, you can send your poems and in time they`ll be published (for free) in newspapers (some goes for short stories etc) I wonder if in USA you can do the same ?

Poetry really isn't... Appreciated in modern America, much less where I'm from. But I imagine it couldn't hurt, would be great to actually have someone else see the poems... Though I'd most certainly use a pen name. Thanks ^_^

wow, that`s bad. Literature in my country has a high meaning, they get all sorts of events where you can win money, and get a publications (same goes with up-coming musicians) too bad that there is`nt such for scientists..

And I have enjoyed most of your poems (those who i have read) and I`m not a much of poem fan(not english ones) , so that should mean something
