I am sure most of you have heard that on December 16th there is going to be a marathon showing of the triology. It will begin with the extended versions of FOTR and TTT and follow with the first showing of ROTK! The official website now has a list of the participating theaters and says tickets will go on sale next Thursday the 9th! I cannot wait!!!

    Here is the link:

Bummer. As much of a fan as I am, I don't know if I could sit and look at a screen for that long. It would be tough. I'd be worn out by the time came to see ROTK.

Thank you very much berennluthien. I've been waiting for the list of theaters doing it. Now I'm happy because the closest to me is only 30 minutes away!

If I can find a cinema in Australia that's doing that, I'll do it! I'll take my chances with haemorrhoids lol.

So, wear comfy clothes, take a pillow and/or donut cushion, eye drops to prevent dry eyes from not blinking for 10 hours, and Kleenex for ROTK, because I envision not a dry eye in the house at many stages in ROTK.

AAARRGGHHH!!!! My cousin is getting married on the 27th in Malaysia so we have to fly out on Christmas Day, and the movie opens in Australia on the 26th! So if they have an opening day marathon I'm going to miss it, and I don't get back until the 31st.

    AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

That's half the fun ..being so die-hard and waiting for hrs in the queues.. C'mon! You gotta..?

Well, considering you want to spare your eyes a little from the fatigue you'll feel after all that constancy.. You needn't burden them with a late night/early morning yeh? So why not..? Better for us :D

Hey! Someone who lives close. Are you going to try to go to Cinerama for the marathon? I hope I can get tickets, I keep checking the website.
