    Thanks guys, but what my friend wanted to know was how many oscars in total did LoTR win? That is the combined total for FoTR,TTT,and RoTK? I think I read somewhere it was 17 but Im not sure anout this.

    If you notice the * in Observer's post you will see that there were 17 Oscar wins for the trilogy and what they were.

    wow, i haven't viewed my post for a while...hmm, this thing actually got pretty far, heh. yes, it is due time that the works of J.R.R Tolkien, translated by Peter Jackson, got their...well, got their due!

    ^^^^^ I would have to, in a way, agree with them. It was the worst of the three, but still amazing nonetheless.
