its 5.30 am here! I have been watching all night and I am sooooo..... happy! Well done those guys and to the two people I met who said it was rubbish = ELEVEN OSCARS!!! WOW that was so exciting! Annie Lennox was so cool and gave it her best shot and I was glad ro see Howard shore get his, pity they had nothing for the actors but they have love and money and career prospects..........nice to see Fran at last.....Oh its the best that could be hoped for. AWESOME!

At last the LOTR saga gets what it deserves and i win a £5 bet!!!!
If PJ and LOTR didnt get the oscars i would have done something drastic.

They very. very much deserved it. Annie Lennox was very good, and PJ was his usual scruffy self. They kinda snubbed all the actors though. And i agree, Sean Astin should have at least been NOMINATED!

i got a 100 dollars off this on high odds....haha of all the people in the pool, i was the only one who bet it would win all 11...ty academy, you've given me money to buy yet another LoTR sword!

    Tied with Ben-Hur and Titanic.

But, I read that Titanic did not win all of the 12 or 13 nominations it had.

Woot! I loved it. I could just see those snooty Hollywood types cringing as ROTK won award after award. hehe. :D

Awfully disappointing about Sean Astin though. I think the night would have been absolutely perfect if he had wom best supporting actor, and Viggo or Elijah had won best actor. But hey they CREAMED the competition.

I read somewhere on another forum that the only other movies that had a clean sweep at the Oscars were "Gigi" and "The Last Emperor", which both went 9 for 9.

(please don't read Gigi as Gigli lol)

It tied with Titanic and Ben Hur for winning the most oscars. 11 obviously.
