Re: Lost Is anyone as excited as I am that LOST is almost here! October 4th w00t! *does a happy dance* I can't even imagine what we'll see and won't see in that premier episode!
Re: Lost I really don't think the season premier was that great! It was good to see the show re-start ... but besides the opening scene and a bit more about the doc's past, it didn't seem to do much. I was surprised it was only an hour. I guess they had to spend some time introducing us to a new "other" character, etc. I hope the writers aren't floundering and the series gains momentum next week.
Re: Lost it is definitely the best show on network tv. i end up watching it 2-3 times a week between DVR and ABC.com
Re: Lost I've just spent a couple of days watching round-ups and the first batch of episodes of the new series and I wanted to get people's opinions on: 1. How come those particular people ended up on the plane? In particular the ones with an obvious connection to the island: Hurley, Eko, Jack. Did the corporation engineer it? If so why risk their deaths in a crash? 2. Who are the Others? Are they the original scientists or subjects? Decendants of the originals or subjects? Were they there before? Did they come after? 3. What are they doing there? Continuing research? Building a utopia? Saving the world day after day? Are they manipulating or being manipulated? 4. What was the story with kidnapping the children? What sort of tests were they running? Is it research or some sort of DNA/blood typing? Are they keeping them to increase their own population? 5. Why Sawyer? Jack is obvious and Kate can be used against Jack, so why do they need Sawyer? 6. Is it some sort of Purgatory? Do bad things happen to bad people? 7. What is the significance of the numbers? Is the fact that they add up to the number of minutes important in any way? 8. Does she really want him to kill him during the operation? Is it a trick, a test or is she just messing with his head to try to get him NOT to kill him? 9. Is it just some sort of immersive VR game? 10. What's your favourite conspiracy theory? Obviously there aren't any definitive answers yet (unless the US is further ahead than I thought), I just want to get your opinions
Re: Lost Umm, yeah, I ask most of those questions too. Arwen might know some of them. Maybe. I'm just upset that Ben didn't die. I so wanted to see that.
Re: Lost I can only answer this 1 for sure: 6. Is it some sort of Purgatory? Do bad things happen to bad people? This has been denied by the writers many times Have you seen this video from the Lost Experience?
Re: Lost I know it's not the actual Purgatory, in so far as they're not dead. I suppose I'm really wondering if the Island has some sort of innate sense of justice built in. A lot of the people who came with bad things in their pasts have had bad things happen. But then how does Sawyer fit with that...? Anotther one, has Desmond always been pre-cognitive or was it something that happened in the explosion? And have you listened to the sound/music from the room in reverse?
Re: Lost Well... I think tonight's episode added to the confusion somewhat. But Charlie had better not die. I love Charlie.
Re: Lost Yeah, that was a strange episode. I like Desmond, I felt so bad for him. And poor Charlie! I hope he does not die, maybe if he lives through so many attempts, the "universe" will just give up, lol. I'm still mad that Ben did not die. There's always hope, maybe he'll die from infection or something.
Season 4 of Lost I personally thought the season premiere was a huge let down. They didn't reveal anything shocking or really important. There were a few good moments and the rest of the season does look awesome so I have high hopes. What other thoughts or opinions do you guys have?
