I thought everyone had that privilege. At least the hitting Crusader part.
But I wanna be the very best, the best that ever was. To catch them all is....I mean. Yes ok, saying something like "O hai, i pwndz all your guards with 1 dart" is obviously ridiculous, but we're still going to have people who are "very good at what they do".
Well once we establish a storyline we can establish characters, even if players are approved characters might be up to revisions, if people even stray close to godmodding they will be shot on sight, but there is some realistic level of superiority in some aspects. this may also come down to bueraucracy again, you'll have to run conflicts by the other player and in cases of disputes I will make a judgement based on character profiles etc.
I think we've definitely got enough interest going, so its worth establishing the story setting enough to get a first post written. Since people obviously have some reservations about aspects such as race and magic, it might be worth voicing preferences now.
YOU GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL
Somehow I think I screwed up that reference.
I'm not saying people shouldn't be BAD, but if they're the best... it just makes it meh. "I'm the best. Your guards have no chance against me" is pretty silly.
I guess what I'm arguing for is average everyman characters. People that are better than most (say 95th percentile) but not the top notch.
The hell with KT's shitty Canadian uni internet.
I'ma keep doing this until you get the point. Second time now btw.
No Elves plz. Or dwarves. Or Tolkien-esque thingies.
If you want, I'll PM you something that I wrote a very long time ago intending to make it into a RPG, but I never got around to doing it. I ended up incorporating it into my world instead, but it's easy enough to replace names.
I think the first agenda at hand will be races. I'm thinking all "high level" sentiency (is that even a word?) races be no more than 6. Racial traits should also be defined along with basic cultural characteristics (you're not going to have a Dwarf sailor now are you?).
It's just my opinion we should get races out of the way first.
Okay things like this are going to need delibaration and in the interest of fairness votes are a good idea, so lets get this panel thing out of the way.
The provisional panel will include:
Five to avoid ties, we'll have submission of ideas followed by votes. First thigns first, Races. humans are a cert, whats next?
You're off the panel.
Let's keep the grammar nazi abilities for something important.
Right so we got humans, I vote dwarves even if we don't take elves. They are a more enjoyable and funny race atleast.
Ew, dwarves are too cliche too.
Why don't we just keep this world with only 1 race: humans?
But that's one perception of dwarves. What if someone else has another perception of them being grouchy and not fun?
Also, babycakes, it's fun teasing Chris. ^_^
an interesting proposition would prevent a lot of confusions of comparative ability.
Tbh I'd support that.
I'd support the humans only also.
it could be the first silent ballot, or open one if you'd prefer to discuss it.
well it wont be silent really as 3 of the panel have already said theyd support it, open discussion it is.
We could all argue the point with Met just for the fun of it.
Separate names with a comma.
