I voted puppies because they're just so darn cute and playful ^_^
Why would puppies need 24/7 attention? And kittehs are more stupid
No way! Well, they don,t need that much attention, but they do need a lot of it. And a cat is way smarter! It can survive way longer withour humans that a dog. You can,t leave a domesticated dog alone for like, a week, but as long as you make sure the cat has some food and water you can leave it. And it can also survive on wild rodents.
My dog didn't need attention it's just the way you bring them up.
You can leave a dog alone he'll be fine, it's just a bit inhumane.
The difference why a domesticated dog wouldn't last long in the wild is because dogs are pack animals, whereas cats are not
I like kittehs too, don't get me wrong
Puppehs and kittehs!
Dogs guard the house, Cats remove it of its pests and rodents.
Kittehs...cause they don't bark all night o.o
Though puppehs are cute, too.
Funny how one can get 30 pages on teh subject of kittehs vs puppies. Kittens ftw!
Puppies!! As long as they are a medium to large sized breed. Little yappy ones just get on my nerves.
Always found that older dogs were more loving than the majority of cats. Also, I've never had to give a dog 24/7 attention. They like to run around on their own outside, I've seen them catch their own food. Plus they are more useful than a cat. Farmers use them to herd cattle and sheep. Hunters use them to retrieve game, military uses them to sniff out bombs, police use them to sniff out drugs/bombs.
I also know of cats that are not very independent, especially if they are an indoor cat, where they are going to need to be fed just like domestic dogs.
Also, not all dogs bark all night. Had plenty that hardly ever barked. Plus I've heard cats in heat... not quiet at all.
Kittens are cute though. Generally smarter though there are some breeds of dogs that are very intelligent.
Puppies!!! I've had both cats (7 of 'em) and dogs (5 of 'em) and dogs are better.
you realise cats have been helping mankind for over 3000 years? cats have kept pest out of cities and away from granaries and fields. More importantly this wasn't a trained action, this was a natural form of social symbiosis, both parties benefiting from mutual cooperation with no loss to either party. The dog will still want a share of that game in the end, and it was only ever a tool in the matter, shaped and trained to do so.
the minority of situations has no reflection on the case at large.
but that behaviour, despite the differing opinions on the act, can be 'fixed' as it were, barking can not.
I see no one has rebutted my last post, as there can indeed be no rebuttal to it.
I also had 7 cats and 5 dogs. And I agree. Dogs are better.
Exactly the same amount? Hahah thats weird. And I love cats too, but I can never manage a whole one...
It's called training, my dog is trained to only bark when someone knocks on the door, or if I leave her outside too long. She'll bark once, then wait to see if I let her in, then bark again a few minutes later (she is not an outside dog at all). I'd like to see the morons who lived in my old neighborhood do that. Jerks let their cats roam the neighborhood at night, pooping everywhere, getting scratches on the top of my car, and sat outside my windows yowling. I'll take a barking dog over that cat crap any day. I happy that does not happen in my current neighborhood, we have dogs that stay in their yards, and bark sometimes.
Exactly. Dogs can be trained, as long as the owners take the time. And, I hate little yappy dogs too, ick. They are still cute as puppies though!
Puppies all the way. I like cats and all, but if you want affection, get a puppy. If you want something to attack your heels when you walk across the living room, get a kitten.
Puppies for me, I'm afraid. The last time I was near a kitten I got scratched to pieces. Must be giving off the wrong vibes...
That's the fun part xD I love a playful kitteh
I prefer my blood to stay where it belongs - inside me.
Pity you can't bring yourself to misuse an apostrophe......it's common knowledge that a kitten dies every time you incorrectly place an apostrophe!
(No kittens were harmed during the production of this post!)
BTW, puppies are the way to go!
