Welcome Xaltar ! Trust me, we all know the irratation of waiting for new WoT books all too well...
LOL, yeah. It adds to the antisipation though =-D
Welcome Alexus and Xaltar!!!
I hereby proclaim (after finishing the first two books) officially hooked.
OK gang - I'm a huge LOTR fan and am considering taking the plunge into the whole WOT thing. I've got a Borders gift card burning a hole in my pocket and am the type of person who will read a series over and over if it merits ( ie lord of the rings) I've seen a ton of comparisons of WOT to LOTR so I guess my question is this - should I get a nice set of hardcover books that will hold up well or just grab the paperbacks because these are more of a one read kind of story?
I would say that it is a multiple read series. I know that I intend to read it again in the near future. If it's in your budget I say go for the hardbacks
I'm up to book 10. I think number 9 HAS to be my fav! I love the WOT! And I definetly agree w/ Meteorain; don't read too fast. I don't get what that has to do w/ book 10, but I'll get reading and try 2 find out!
I have just started to re-read the series. Last time Book 7 was only just released, can't wait to see what happens after that one. Am currently about half way through book 2. Love this series.
I've graduated into book four.......... the more I read, the more I'm hooked.
Definitely a multiple re-read series.
Once you've finished it once come to the Speculations section and give us your views on the mysteries.
I can't wait. Book six now.
After the raving reviews this has gotten around here, I just ordered a boxed set of the first 3 books. Hope it's worth it... sounds like it is.
It's more than worth it. I started reading it because of the great reviews I read on this forum, and I DEFINITELY wasn't let down. Quite the opposite.
Yay me! I bought Eye Of The World this wednesday, I'm still waiting to receive it! *runs to her mailbox again and again* Can't wait any longer!!
